An Unexpected Goodbye

I walked towards the gazebo to hide from everyone. It's new year's eve and I don't want to worry anyone. I have been cramping since I woke up at six in the morning. I didn't want to wake anyone up because they're tired from serving everything up last night for the party. I sat down and rested my head on the table.

"Sweetie, why are you out here in the cold?" Dad asked as I lifted my head to look at him. "Have you been out here long?"

"What time is it?" I asked as numbness started to take over my body.

"It's noon." he said. "Sweetie, let's go inside." He helped me up but immediately carried me inside. "AMANDA!" My dad shouted, "COME DOWN HERE RIGHT NOW!" My dad laid me on the couch and walked away, I saw Amanda and she had a worried look on her face as soon as she saw me and she too, walked towards where my dad went. A few minutes later Amanda came back with blankets, lots of them.

"What's going on?" I asked as I tried to get up.

"Sweetheart, just lay down." Amanda said as she held my hand and I felt warmth. Suddenly the numbness started to fade away and pain took over.

"Sage... Sage... What's wrong with her?" I heard Chris say before I lost consciousness.

"Mikayla Sage, why do you keep coming back to this realm?" my mom asked.

"I honestly don't know. I don't know what's going on. I... I..." I started to panic and my mom walked over to me and hugged me.

"Sweetheart, you have to wake up now, okay? Wake up for me. We will see each other again, I promise." and with that...

I opened my eyes and gasped for air. Chris helped me sit and he then sat behind me to support me. "That's it, baby girl. Breathe, slowly." He said.

"W-what ha-ppened?" I asked as I looked around. Dad came in and handed me a shot glass full of greenish blue liquid. "What i-is this-s." I said as I started to get cold again.

"Just drink it." Chris said with such authority that I immediately drank the whole thing. Surprisingly it tasted sweet but at the same time it tasted so wrong.

"Chris, you should take her to your guys' room so she can rest." Dad told Chris. "Call us if something happens." Chris immediately carried me and took me to our room. He laid me on the bed and helped me with the blanket.

"Babe, what's going on?" he asked as he sat beside me. "I woke up and you were gone, I thought you were just in the library and then I heard the commotion downstairs."

"I'm sorry, daddy." I said as tears pooled my eyes.

"Hey, it's okay. Just next time, please wake me up and let me know where you're going." He leaned in for a kiss but I stopped him. I felt like throwing up so I ran to the bathroom and did so.

Blood... there's blood everywhere, I threw up blood. I walked over to the sink and washed my mouth after flushing the toilet. Then my throat, it's bothering me so much, it's burning and all of me just want to hunt. I walked back out and laid down.

"Chris, please leave me for now. I don't..." I said as I covered myself with the blanket, pulling it over my head.

"What's wrong?" He asked as he pulled the blanket off my face, "Baby girl..." he gasped.

"I don't want to hurt you. Please. Leave the room and lock it from the outside." I said as I started to feel pain in my mouth.

"You will never hurt me, baby girl. Tell me what's wrong?" He pushed.
