Dazed, Tord shakily stood up. His head was fuzzy, and the room was spinning. He couldn't remember much from what happened. He was dead, that's for sure. However, in his dizziness, he could piece together what happened. There was the robot...Tom fired a harpoon and it hit the core...and the last thing he could remember was an explosion. That must have been what killed him.
Now that his senses had come to him, Tord looked around. There were spiky pillars made of rock, blazing fires lighting up the place, and a giant flashing sign saying 'WELCOME TO HELL' directly in front of him.
"Huh." Tord murmured. "Well, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't expecting this."
Tord looked at his hands. Looked like being sent to Hell gave you a demon appearance. He had certainly become taller and lankier, like a beanstalk. His skin had turned paper-white, with the right side of his face, his right arm and his hand being a light shade of red. On the tips of his fingers were golden claws in place of his fingernails, the same colour of his hair, which now had blood-red streaks in it. Finally, his teeth had become pointed, and they poked out of his lips like buck teeth when his mouth was closed.
Well, this was it. No going back now. This would be where Tord would be staying for the rest of eternity. He took a deep breath, and closed his eyes.
"Buck up, kiddo." he whispered, his nerves growing inside him. "You'll fit right in here. You'll be with other people who are bad to the bone,"
Tord opened his eyes, a determined scowl creeping up his face, and he strided through the brightly illuminated gates into a world that only the most evil corpses knew.
