Mariano's Proposal

           I arrived at the dining table and heard something about a proposal. I later found out that Mariano was proposing to Isabela today during dinner. "Do we have a date?" Abuela asked Dolores. "Tonight...He wants five babies." Dolores answered. What in the actual hell. FIVE FRICKING BABIES?!? Suddenly, flowers appeared from Isabela's hair. Camilo who was sitting beside Isabela shape-shifted into Mariano and did a kissy face. Isabela then lightly slapped him with flowers. Some petals even went into his mouth. I even laughed a little. 

           After breakfast, Dolores walked towards me. "Um, y/n, sorry about your father. My condolences." I smiled lightly. I literally forgot that Dolores could hear everything. 

         Camilo ran up to me. "Hermosa/hermoso, have you seen mirabel?" I shook my head lightly. "Oh okay. Thank you, bonita" He kissed my forehead before leaving to find mirabel. At that moment, i saw her walking out of her tio bruno's room. i went up to her and saw that she had some green glass pieces. "What's that?" I asked. "My tio bruno's vision before he left." Mirabel answered. We both went to her room and pieced the pieces together. It was mirabel and a cracked casita and i was falling from the top of the casita? What was going on? Mirabel then explained about how the miracle was dying and i volunteered to help.

           It was night time. Everyone gathered at the table including mariano and his mother. Suddenly, i saw a crack that had formed on the wall. I gestured to Mirabel and she tried to speed up the process of the proposal. She even lied down on the floor to cover the crack. Suddenly, Abuela lost it. "Mirabel! What are you doing!" she shouted like booming thunder. Abuela didnt even let Mirabel explain and asked her to go to her room. I knew i couldnt just stand there and do nothing so I stood in the middle of both abuela and mirabel. I took a glance at Camilo's worried face but i ignored. "Abuela, could you just let Mirabel talk?" I said politely. 

           "You shouldnt be involved in this conversation so please move." Abuela said, looking a little bit angry.

           "No! I have every right to be involved in this conversation as Mirabel is my friend." I said, slowly losing my cool.

            Abuela lost hers too. "How dare you disobey me! I provided you food and this is how you treat me? Without me you are worthless! If your father was here, he would be disappointed with you! I'll tell him everything about you when he comes to Encanto." I felt my heart shatter when she mentioned my father. I felt useless. I couldnt do anything. Tears flowed down my cheeks uncontrollably. "Fine! I'll go then! I cant believe i actually thought you were kind." I said as I ran to pack my things. 

           "Abuela!" I heard Camilo shout in a distance as i packed my things. Suddenly, as I was about to leave Casa Madrigal. Camilo ran towards me. "Im sorry, y/n. I didnt stand up for you." He apologised. "I think...its best if we break up..." I replied and continued walking. Camilo pulled my hand. "WHAT...Why?!? Its only been 2 weeks?". 

           "Abuela doesnt like me. She wouldnt be proud if she knew you were still dating me...Goodbye Madrigal..." I said as i walked out of the casita. Casita closed the door on Camilo, stopping him from chasing after me. "Please casita. Let me go!" Camilo started crying his eyeballs out. "PLEASE! She/he's the love of my life!" Casita heard the pain in his voice and let him go but it was too late. I had gone out of sight. 

           I spent the next few days crying because of my father and the break up. I was weak from not eating. I'd rather just starve to death. I wonder how Camilo was doing....
