Are riding on enormous creatures that look like brown dragons with heads like hyenas. The eyes of the monsters glow like burning embers and Fire shoots out from between their tusklike fangs.
Every time a warrior gets close with their spear, they are blasted to ashes
Mikashi lands her griffon behind a huge rock
She starts to sneak closer for a better view
She hears whimpering coming from s patch of bushes
She looks in and sees a hyena pup whining and making crying noises
As she watches he runs back into the bush
She crawls in after
The pup runs around the corner
She hears licking and then the pup makes a mournful howl
She crawls around the bush
And sees a little African boy with burns on his legs and face huddled in the dirt
He is not moving
The pup is licking his face, trying to revive him. Mikashi realizes that there is still smoke slowly wafting up from his leg
She grabs her goatskin full of water
And pours it over his burns to cool them
Then she takes off her antelope skin Cape, wraps him up in it with the pup and carries him back to her griffon
The griffon is lying down, so she sets the boy next to it and tucks the blanket around him as it starts to lightly rain
She tells her griffon (who is named Sankora)
To keep him safe
Then she picks up her spear, a sword, and her vulture totem and goes back toward the rock.
She comes around it and quickly jumps back. There is a dragon on the other side, crouched near a family. The father stands in front of his wife who is leading a small girl by the hand and has a baby in the crook of her arm.
None of them have weapons.
the tattooed man is talking to them
She hears something about melons and cucumbers
Then about gold
And then he starts to ask them where "the herds" are
They say they don't know
He demands again, "where are the mammoths?!"
The father shakes his head, saying I don't know
Then the man runs his hand along the dragons mane
It rears up and the heat builds in it's mouth
The family scream and start to run as the mouth opens and the fire...
Mikashi knew what was about to happen, so in the seconds it took the dragon to prepare
She snuck around beside it
The man was watching in evil glee, anticipating watching the family die and the roar of the fire building made it hard for him to hear Mikashi as she crept closer
