(A train noise burst into Quincy's brain.)

Quincy jumped out of his sleep, astonished by the noise, though the room was still dark.

Whoa, what a dream! It felt so real, he thought, wiping his eyes and checking the time on his alarm clock.

"Four a.m.! Bro, what the heck?"

Who honks their horn this early in the morning!

"Is it time for breakfast?" Daniel asked, half asleep still.

"Naw, bro. My bad, the train just woke me up. We still got a couple hours."

"Ahh! Bet," he said, dozing back into his dreams.

Quincy fell back into his pillow and tried to scurry back to sleep as well but was woken up by Daniel's alarm to go shower not too long after, though he just turned over and snoozed it. Quincy stared at him as his stress began to grow, though he figured that he might be able to squeeze in a few more minutes after that. Then Daniel's alarm went off again and again every few minutes after that, and Daniel snoozed every single one. All nine. Quincy lay there flabbergasted. How could Daniel be this obstinate? If there was one thing that Quincy hated, it was people who set multiple alarms just to sleep through them. And after the fourth one, Quincy was tempted to walk over and smack Daniel across the face for having the audacity to snooze the alarm nine times in the morning.

Dawn snuck over the horizon as several birds began to fly around, illuminating the SAMS participants standing there like zombies, deprived of their usual caffeine and nourishment.

"Good morning, SAMS students! Who's ready to get their tour on!"

Everyone just stood and stared blankly at the over-enthusiastic tour guide.

"Glad to see y'all hyped off the morning joe! Now, let's go!"

"Why do we have to go on this stupid tour, anyways? I'd rather go do some pregaming for the football game tonight."

"Over here is the first building created on campus in 1943..."

"Well, for starters, it's a requirement of the program, and secondly, because you'll need to know this," Quincy said to Theo, as he and Cora paced together at the back of the group.

"The only thing I need to know is where the food and beer is."

"And over this way is the newly remodeled..."

"Is that all you think about? It's so unattractive," she whispered to Theo.

"So you say, but here you are."

"Ugh, as if!"

Everyone in the tour group turned to look at Cora.

"Uhm..."

"As if you can call that a remodel, it looks exactly the same as the other buildings."

The tour guide ushered the group forward and replied, "You are right. Though it looks the same on the outside, it contains numerous upgrades and inventions within it. So much so that only authorized personal are allowed to enter."
