Getting through tough times

Too many Layers

Mcgee heard that Nick was taking the day off due to a fever. Being the good friend that he was, he decided to drop by his place to see if he was okay.

When Nick answered the door, he was wearing 3 sweaters.

'Whoa. How bad is it?' Mcgee asked.

'I've got these bad chills, man. The blankets aren't doing much, so I've layered up.' Nick responded.

'Yikes. Want me to make you something?'

'Some hot soup would be good.'

Mcgee went to make soup.

'Ever hear from Ellie?' Mcgee asked.

'What makes you think I hear from her?' Nick replied.

'I figure a guy like you has your ways of getting info on how she's doing.'

'Well, you're right. She sends me letters, unmarked, and they're delivered by a delivery boy. She's okay. She says she misses us.'

'Well that's nice to know.'

'Whoa, that soup smells good!' Nick said.

'Hope you like it!'

'Nick liked it so much, he asked for a second bowl.
