Episode 11 (Part 2)

Location: Beacon Defendant Chamber 2

Ruby: "Yikes! Double yikes!! Triple yikes!!! I can't believe how tense it is in there!"

Yang: "I got to admit, the prosecution was colder than usual. Though, it's not surprising, considering who the victim is."

Ruby let out an exasperated groan as she paced back and forth, biting her knuckle as she tried to keep her nerves under control. Yang shook her head at the sight, looking over to Jaune. He was looking multiple shades of green, hugging a garbage can to his chest in case he lost his breakfast.

Yang: "Alright! Stop right there!"

Yang grabbed Ruby by the hood, choking her sister as she stopped her mid-stride. Ruby squirmed and tried to protest as Yang forcibly sat her down in a chair.

Yang: "Sis, you seriously need to chill out. Hawk and Weiss are probably sitting in the prosecution waiting room right now, having a cup of tea while reviewing the court case right this second..."

(Hawk and Weiss suddenly sneezed, as they were indeed enjoying a cup of tea with court documents in front of them.)

Yang: "Remember the case. Focus on your trust in the defendant. You are a defence attorney, which means you can't worry about yourself. You have to be the rock that your client finds comfort in. So, Ruby Rose, are you a defence attorney? Or are you gonna quit?"

Ruby sat there for a moment, letting Yang's words sink in. Closing her eyes for a moment, Ruby slapped her hands against her face, before jumping to her feet. She marched over to Jaune, placing her hands on his shoulders to get his attention.

Ruby: "You are innocent Jaune, and I will prove it today. I believe in you, so believe in me as an attorney."

Jaune's eyes began to tear up, his bottom lip quivered slightly, as he gave a firm nod. Ruby flashed a confident grin, feeling her inner strength returning, as Yang proudly observed the scene.

Then the scene was ruined as Jaune threw up in the garbage can, causing both Ruby and Yang to yell in horror.

Time: 10:15 am
Location: Beacon Courtroom 2

Judge Port's gavel boomed through the courtroom, causing the voices of the gallery to quiet down.

Port: "Court shall now resume."

Weiss: "Assuming your honor doesn't require any further bathroom breaks."

Port nervously coughed as he caught the glares from the prosecution bench.

Port: "Um... uh... yes, quite. Now, prosecution, please call your first witness."

Hawk: "The prosecution calls the officer who was the first on scene and made the arrest, Ms. Cream."

Alastair led a petite Atlassian officer to the witness stand. Ruby furrowed her brow as she looked at the girl, swearing she'd seen her before. The woman stood at attention, her hat dipped down her forehead so her eyes were hidden.

Hawk: "Please state your name and occupation for the record."

The woman tilted her head, her lips pursing a bit.
