Anna spun on her heel and left, slamming the door behind her. She began to walk through the empty corridor and out of the building. This was the second time Anna had walked out of a place she had considered calling home. Although this was a lot shorter than the other, Anna was trying to be as optimistic as she possibly could. She would never do that again though, after letting her false hope disappoint her twice, she'd be a fool to try again.
The cold evening wind brushed against her face and wrapped around her tangled hair. Anna's heels rhythmically clacked against the pavement as she walked. Anna really had nothing else to lose, she had reached her all time low. Deciding it was time for another pick-me-up, Anna headed towards the only club she knew in NYC: The ABO Swan Song. Afterall, things could only start looking up from here.
As she walked closer, Anna could begin to hear the low heavy hum of dance music coming from within the club. The music gradually got louder and louder until they drowned out the clacking of Anna's heels.
Standing in front of the club, Anna could tell how truly ear-piercing the noise was- she could barely hear her thoughts. This was just what she needed, finally she had done something right. Tapping her heels against the curb, Anna inhaled and walked in.
The lights, the warmth and the heavy atmosphere all happily welcomed Anna. She was like another lost soul presented to them. The ABO Swan Song was built for individuals like Anna: heartbroken, lonely and unable to think rationally.
As soon as Anna stepped inside, she could tell that she had made a good decision. She just had to find another guy. Simple enough. Someone she could say with for the night and as she had nothing valuable on her, she'd have to use her body.
