Addison Fleming, Addy, to the rest of the world, was good at starting over. Having practically disappeared from her old life at the age of twenty-one, only staying in touch with one person, who was like an older brother to her, more of a brother than her own. An occasional 'I miss you' and 'if you're ever in town, crash with me' call roughly every six or so months unfortunately was the extent of it.
After years of constant running through America, Addy settled in LA, she thought she'd struck gold. The beginnings of a good career, one with good upward potential. A good relationship with a decent man. A good future.
For the first time in a long time, possibly in her whole life, Addy was truly happy.
But in less than twenty minutes it all came crashing down around her, the future she thought they were building came down with everything else.
One negative test, one relationship breakdown, one promised future.
This meant that Addy was on the next available flight out of LA and back to her hometown of London at a moment's notice.
Just hoping that the pain wouldn't follow her, but she should know better than that. Pain followed her, a constant companion, one that she wished to loose.
All Addy wanted to do is keep her head down, just work her new job, stop crying on her only friend's sofa at three am while not so quietly singing along to Taylor Swift and other assorted break up songs. Not to get anymore dumb impulsive tattoos. All while trying to rebuild herself and make lasting friendships, no relationship drama, just rebuilding herself.
Just living not necessarily her best life, but her life under the radar.
Despite her best attempts, the arrogant, self assured star striker was slowly but surely burying himself under Addy's skin.
Initially it was just to annoy her only friend, but somewhere along the way, it had the potential to turn into something more against Addy's previous wishes.

A/N: Like everyone right now, I'm still in my Ted Lasso phase, and apparently because I'm unable to watch anything with creating an oc here this is.
Who knows how often I'll update because I currently have a fractured elbow but I'll try.
But please enjoy this fleeting serotonin, because I'll enjoy writing it for a while.
