Afternoon At The Movies

When school finally finished and it was almost 4pm, Adrien was waiting at the movies when Luka showed up.

'Oh, hey Luka!' Adrien said.

'Oh, hi Adrien! You seeing this movie too?' Luka replied.

'Yeah, I'm waiting for Marinette!' Adrien replied. 'How about you?'

'Oh, good for you! I'm waiting for Zoe!' Luka replied.

'Oh yeah, I saw on social media that you and Zoe are together now, that's great!' Adrien replied.

Marinette and Zoe had met down the street and realised they were both going to the same place so they arrived together.

'Sorry we're a few minutes late!' Zoe said.

'No problem' Luka replied. 'I've already bought the tickets online so we can go straight in. We'll miss the previews anyway'
Luka added as he took Zoe's hand and kissed her forehead.

'See you guys in there!' Zoe replied as they headed in. Adrien had already bought two tickets at the counter.

As they were assigned seats they weren't sitting with Luka and Zoe, but they didn't mind as they both wanted alone time. Adrien took Marinette's hand as she blushed as he led her to their seats.

They could see Luka and Zoe were more towards the front and they were in the back row. Adrien smiled at Marinette. The previews were still on and the lights were dimmed but not out completely. He leaned in closer to Marinette, all the while she was getting flashbacks of when she was at the movies with Luka at the last screening of Jagged Stone's last movie.

'Please no akumas, please no akumas...' Marinette pleaded in her head as their lips met. It was the most magical kiss Marinette had ever experienced. Adrien took her hand in his, his other hand caressing her cheek gently.

Marinette and Adrien sighed happily.

The lights went out and the movie started. About a quarter of the way into the movie though, both Marinette and Adrien's phones vibrated and they each took a sneaky look and saw it was an akuma alert.

'I'm getting thirsty, I'm just going to grab a drink!' Marinette whispered to Adrien.

'All good! I have to go to the bathroom anyway!' Adrien replied.

They both snuck out, Adrien transformed in the male bathrooms while Marinette found a secluded janitor closet to transform in. They fought the akuma, and came back, detransformed and went back to the movie for the last 15 minutes of the movie.

'Sorry I took so long!' they both whispered to each other at the same time and giggled. They held hands and when the credits went up and the lights came back on, Adrien and Marinette looked at each other and smiled.

'I have no idea what happened for most of that, when did the bad guy become a good guy?' Adrien chuckled.

'Your guess is as good as mine!' Marinette giggled in reply.

Luka and Zoe saw them as they walked up the stairs.

'Hey guys, how did you like the movie?' Luka asked.

'I missed most of it, I had to go to the bathroom and there was a queue!' Adrien chuckled.

'And I wanted a drink but the line was really long too!' Marinette said.

'You never bought a drink back with you though!' Adrien said.

'By the time I got it I was that thirsty I drank it on the way back!' Marinette giggled.

'Why don't we all get a coffee together and we can fill you in?' Zoe suggested.

'Sounds great! I need a coffee to wake me up, movies make me exhausted!' Marinette replied. Truthfully she was worn out from fighting the akuma.

Luka and Zoe had already gone out and waited outside for them while Adrien and Marinette got up and Adrien opened the door to the cinema.

'After you, m'lady' he said.

Marinette scrunched up her nose. That name reminded her too much of a certain black cat.

'Actually, I don't care much for that name, can you call me something else?' Marinette asked.

'Of course! How about, princess?' Adrien suggested.

'Much better!' Marinette smiled as she walked through the door.

'Princess it is!' Adrien smiled back and followed her out and took her hand.

They went to a nearby cafe and Luka and Zoe filled Adrien and Marinette in on the part they missed.

'That makes so much sense now!' Adrien and Marinette said together and laughed.

Adrien called his bodyguard to come and take him and Marinette home.

'Can we give you guys a lift too?' Adrien asked Luka and Zoe.

'I'm happy to walk Zoe back to the hotel. You guys go ahead' Luka smiled.

'Okay, see you around!' Adrien said as they waved goodbye and Luka and Zoe started walking as he opened the door for Marinette and held her hand as she got into the car. Adrien closed the door and walked around and got in the other side.

They held hands for the whole car ride back to the bakery.

When they arrived, Adrien got out and opened the door for Marinette.

'Sleep well, my princess' Adrien said softly.

'You too, my prince' Marinette replied as they kissed again in the sunset.

Marinette's parents were peeking through the bakery door. 'Aww!' they said together.

Later, after walking Zoe back to the hotel, Luka had looked at his phone and saw there was an akuma attack that afternoon around 4:30. He smiled. 'No wonder why Marinette and Adrien missed most of the movie' he chuckled to himself.

Both Luka and Zoe and Adrien and Marinette were happy. And each couple loved and supported each other always and forever.

And they all lived happily ever after.
