"an act of cowardice has befallen motherland..... "
The voice ruled.
The cries of 148 souls hang delicately..
In the thick dust of the frontier desert.Shy of the sun,
Bullets disturb my tweet.
Interference at dawn.
Books drenched in blood
Bullets and more bullets
Helter-skelter in the corridors...
In the hallways
In the vast campus
EverywhereCries of help
From children hardly registered...
for their first semester.
The heavy clouds hang low
Threatening to pour...
In the desert.Then the souls....
One by one
And at times in pairs;
To save their Bullets!
The souls rise like flames
In the desertTheir silhouettes rise in a wavy formation
And soon the red sun rises!(dedicated to the 148 Kenyan students who lost their lives at Garissa University after terrorists attacked them in the ungodly hour of the morning in April 2015)
