The next day I was wrapping Antonio's present for his big day tomorrow when I heard.. someone singing? My parents were out and Mateo was asleep as per usual so I knew it couldn't be them. I separated the blinds and peered outside. Some girl in a dress with a lot of embroidery on it was being mobbed by little kids. I ducked before they could notice me then after a few seconds I went outside to see what the commotion was all about. I found myself following them and was led to this huge house. "Missed me that much hermosa??" I flinched at the sudden voice behind me and turned around. "No. I was just walking around and ended up here. Wait! This is your house?!!" "The one and only" he gave a cocky smile, "Cmon ill show you around." I was about to reply but was cut off by him dragging me into his house. Great.

The door opened for us by itself, confusing me further. "Your house moves???" He paused. "Does yours not?" He was serious. I let out a little laugh caused by disbelief. "You think this is normal?!!" Dolores came out of her room followed by her mother. "Whose our guest Camilo?" Dolores smirked mischievously. "That's y/n, the girl he's been talking to."

"Really?! Hi y/n I'm Camilos mom."

"Nice to meet you Mrs. Camilos mom" I shook her hand awkwardly. I'm really bad at meeting peoples parents I'm sorry. "Please call me Pepa." She had a rainbow over her head so I assumed that was good. "So you have been invited to my baby's gift ceremony verdad?"

"Oh yeah, thanks for inviting us even though we're kinda new" I tried to lose the awkwardness but I feel I made it worse; although, she seemed unphased. "Speaking of which, since I'm here, do you need help with anything? Food preparations? Organizing?" Nice save me.

"You're too kind y/n, of course you can help us. My sister Julieta is in the kitchen making food preparations." She pointed towards it and I followed the direction. "Camilo! Limpia ese quarto." He groaned in response while walking upstairs to his room

As I walked into the kitchen the same girl from earlier bumped into me with a basket Finn of miscellaneous things. "Sorry" we said in unison.

"Do you need help with that?" I asked. "Sure! Thank you.. um" "y/n" "y/n!" The girl camilos been talking about?

We placed the things in the basket on the counter and then mirabels dad appeared. Geez what's with this family and jump scaring me. I kept helping in the kitchen while getting to know Juliet's and Mirabel for a few minutes then Camilo came into the room. "You're still here?!"

"Did you want me to go???" I knew that's not what he meant but I felt like teasing him a bit.

"No no no besides we haven't finished our tour" he said grabbing my hand and snatching me away.. again. "Wait!!! I wasn't doneeee" I reached out my hand to the kitchen while being dragged away into what I think was his room or... a mirror maze? "Wtf is this"

"Careful." He warned "this is my humble abode." Does he always have to be this way. "This is your room?? Bro how do you not get lost or like... scared you might get possessed with all these mirrors."

"Pfft no, I fear nothing." Uh huh ok. He knocked on the mirrors making them turn clear in a blink of an eye. "Not so scary now huh" I sat down on his bed while looking around the room. A lot of yellow and chameleons. "Is your favorite color by any chance green?" He glared at me and I gave him an innocent smile. "You're not funny bro"
"Fine then you try to make me laugh since you're such a comedian" I rolled my eyes at him as he turned into me trying to mock my actions.

"I'm y/n and I'm so awkward I can't hold a conversation" he used a high pitch tone... tried to at least. I just looked at him like he was stupid and turned around to walk away. Thud

...that was not there before I swear. I heard Camilo burst out laughing from behind me. When I turned to look at him he was rolling on the floor with tears in his eyes.

"It wasn't that funny!!" I said a bit flustered making him laugh even harder. "Tell that to your face!" I smiled a bit because of his laughter and how easily it occurred but I have to much pride for that so this time I actually walked away without bumping into the wall. "Whatever. I'll see you tomorrow ok?"

"You're not staying for dinner??" He said catching his breath. "I'm too embarrassed to do that now" I laughed while covering my mouth. "Fair enough. Adios hermosa" "adios Camilo"

I walked down stairs and said bye to everyone before heading back home. I tried my best to forget about what happened. It seemed like I was in luck because my stomach just growled and I realized I skipped breakfast this morning. I decided to make myself some pancakes while some music is blasting in my ears. I started humming along to the songs and acting them out with a whisk in my hands.

"Whatcha doing."

"AAAHH!!..... Mateo what the actual fuck is wrong with you."

"I just asked a question geez"

"I'm making pancakes why"

"cuz. Your tone deaf ness is giving me a headache"

"Shut up go to sleep or something"

"I CANT when there's someone sounding like a cat in heat." I decided to put my earphone back in and sulk silently while flipping the first pancake. When I was finished I went up to my room to pick out an outfit to wear tomorrow. Nt too fancy but not too boring where I underdress. Ughh I cant visualize it. I threw myself onto my bed and looked over to my sketch book. Perfect. I reached over and grabbed it and a pencil. Eventually I came up with a solution for an outfit and hairstyle. (Imagine it) I decided to sleep early today to get a head start on tomorrow and help out the madrigals as much as I could. After like 10 thousand tries I finally fell asleep.
