The Doctor Visit

Once I see Aurora completely passed out in her swing I walk over to the bar and pour me a much needed drink, I then walk to the desk in the corner of the living room and pull out my laptop. It's time to do some work. First thing I do is check up on my employees. I hope that they are feeling much better about their jobs with the new incentives in place. So far everyone seems to be on task and following procedures. I go over all the sales for last week since I was away and catch up on my paperwork. I am startled out of my work When the doorbell rings. I look at the clock and realize it is now one. Time went by quickly I didn't even notice. I announce over the intercom to the Dr. that I am on my way. I open the door and I greet him. "Good Afternoon Dr. Thank You again for fitting us into your right schedule so quickly." Anything for a friend of Alex he says. Right this way I announce as I escort the Dr. to the living room. The Dr. ask me to move some furniture out of The way so he can set up and I gladly do so. I walk up to my sweet Princess and turn the swing off. Wake up Princess the Dr. is here to see you now. Upon hearing the word Dr. Aurora snaps awake and begins screaming frantically. " No, No! No Dr. Daddy No! Mean, Scary No pease" Shh... Everything is going to be alright. I unbuckle Aurora and pat her back gently. I promise you it will be ok. She is in tears and shaking and when I go to place her in the exam table she screams and wraps her arms around me practically choking me. The Dr. pulls out a needle. What is that I ask? He tells me it a sedative to help Aurora relax. While she has her face in my chest he injects her and she screams and squirms in my arms. I rub circles on her back and before I know it I catch myself singing hush little baby. I hate seeing her cry, my poor sweet little Princess. The doctor has me lay her on the table and instructs me to hold her down until the medicine takes effect. After a few more minutes the medicine kicks in. I release my grip and the doctor says the 1st thing is going to do is check all her vitals, after her vitals have been taken he draws some blood to send to lab so that he can make sure that she alright. After that is done he has me lay her on the scale to check her weight. I see him raise an eyebrow but nothing is said to me although I know something is wrong. Once finished Aurora is placed back on I the exam table pulls out the stirrups and sticks her legs in them. "Alright little girl, I am sorry but I have to check you out. You may feel slight pressure." My baby girl I step to her side and hold her hands and begin to coo softly at her. The doctor takes out a speculum to hold her vagina open and begins to examine her cervix. He scrapes her inside and she jumps up a smidge but seems alright. The Dr. notifies me that he will be sending the cells out for lab work along with her her blood that he drew. He checks her breast for any lumps and swelling. The entire exam seems so tedious and I feel horrible for putting my sweet Aurora through this but it has to be done. I just want what is best for her and I want to know that she healthy and know that I am doing everything I can to make sure of it.
