a moment
almost lingered too long
and almost slip up
we both felt it

I felt happy
a joy for a new possible outcomes
smiles galore
healed hearts
strong wills
beautiful brown eyes that feel like the forest and the warm fire,
a walk that relieves so much more pressure than you realize
small hand grazes
my heart is thudding too loud to block it out-
your touch-
your touch spreading like growing grass
life flowing up my arms
we're all snuggled up now
almost too close
a second of lips
wanting each other's
a split second of bliss
before the heads turn away
before the smiles fade and the silence comes
but this time the tidal wave seems like a beautiful beach
I'm excited to see it crush me
and for once
I feel like I'm ready
It feels like falling in love again
but learning more this time
the eyes are open this time
