last chapter was a whole bunch of atsumu lmao

this time, it's gonna be kita because kita is amazing and he deserves the world.

after y/n and atsumu's "makeout session" (which was only them making kissy faces at each other for 10 minutes), y/n said bye to atsumu and headed over to where kita was currently standing.

"kita!" y/n yelled as she ran up to him.

"oh hey y/n. what can i do for you?" he asked the girl, who pretended to think before stating what she wanted.

"well i guess i just wanted to make conversation with you, as well as maybe get a hug. if you don't mind of course." y/n smiled at kita.

"of course i don't mind. now about that hug..." kita said as he wrapped his arms around y/n's figure, giving her a tight hug.

y/n was basking in the attention she was getting from kita, and kita was loving every minute of it.

they stayed like that for about 5 minutes until y/n finally pulled away because she couldn't breathe.

"so what'd you want to talk about?" kita curiously asked y/n.

"honestly, I have no clue. I guess I just sort of wanted to talk to you. I didn't really think any of this through..." y/n mumbled while looking away from kita.

"that's completely okay. how about we talk about your grades. how are they?" kita raised his eyebrow and crossed his arms.

"well, they're actually good. surprisingly.." y/n let out a small giggle, and kita chuckled.

"that's good. have you been studying?" kita asked the girl.

"okay well... yes and no..." y/n admit.

"what do you mean by 'yes and no'?" kita narrowed his eyes.

"well... it's been kinda hard to find time to study lately since my life has gotten a bit more chaotic..." the h/c haired girl said as she sheepishly rubbed her nape.

kita let out a small sigh, then pat y/n's head.

"as long as you're getting decent enough grades, then all is good." kita gave y/n a small smile.

"this is literally why i want you to be my parental figure. doing a better job than my parents ever could." y/n stated; pouting a bit.

"don't say that. i'm sure your parents do a wonderful job." kita remarked.

"by not being present often? yeah yeah of course." y/n let out a scoff.

"oh dear... i apologize." kita stated as he pulled y/n into another hug.

y/n pat his back and put her face in the crook of his neck.

"hey, don't worry about it. you didn't know." y/n mumbled into kita's neck.

they, once again, stayed like that for 5 more minutes before pulling away from each other.

kita pressed a chaste kiss to y/n's forehead, and pat her head again.

"just know, you're doing great. keep up the good work y/n." kita commented with a smile on his face.

"I am going to break down into tears right now like you have no idea how happy that just made me." y/n stood there in both shock and excitement.
