It was already afternoon when Hyunjin arrived at the mansion to bring his new 'friend' to Chan, and Jeongin was now prettily sat on a comfy black cushion chair facing the leader in his personal reading room.
He sat without doing anything, listening to the accounts Chan was giving him about why he was here. To sum it up, it was about the court.
Christopher Bang had actually linked himself to a court to help him regain his father's properties that originally supposed to be the old man's will for him as he was an only son in the family.
Following the procedure, the court needed the legitimate heir on the day of the event, while this assassin leader needed the same legitimate heir for more of his background profiles about him as more proves. As clear as the broad day light, this one lone heir was himself.
He understood everything by this point.
He's not slow, so he caught everything at once.
Hence, he eventually lost interest in the voice that kept on chanting words to him by now. Because of how out of place he felt in the room, or in the building generally, he ended up in a pensive mood.
His chest rose and fell calmly, Chan's voice started to slowly drown and blended into one with the background. The ringing tinnitus also took the opportunity to make its own highlight to be the important focus to both his ears.
Trapped in his own world, he could not hear anything else other than his own thought.
He thought, after all of this end with success, what should he do next with the will contract? Will it be possible to go home with peace?
Home..where is that again? It's been a while since he last been in a house that was free from guns and knives.
Then he suddenly remembered a quote from someone.
"Everyone has evil planted in them, but yours is too overwhelming."
These words, no matter after his father or after the environment of his own life that he grew up with, he still wondered why did he have to associate with them till to this day.
"Yang?"
He also recalled his own answer to that same sentence. At that time, his age was of that of a seventeen clueless boy;
"Life goes on. We'll see."
Hearing these words from his own mouth again, his face subconsciously darkened by half. His throat swallowed a bitter tasted saliva as he felt the beating of his heart skipped by one.
It was not until he heard Chan's voice again.
"Mr. Yang? Are you okay? What's wrong?"
The boy lifted his eyes to put his focus back on Chan. His charming face appeared to be calm, although the unsure polite smile ruined it slightly. The furrow between his two deep eyebrows caused him to look kind and caring the moment his worry was shown.
Jeongin brought a fist up over his mouth as he coughed roughly. "Um, yes, sorry, what is it?" He asked, rubbing his nose once he spoke.
"I was saying, you'll be temporarily staying in this mansion for about a week. Your room is up for you to choose. Although my co-workers are here in the day, they'll disperse at night to their own houses." He paused to put his words together in a proper tone.
"Other than hosting up events time to time, this place is only a place for us to gather up information on working days. There are three trusted maids and two butlers, laundries and food wouldn't be a problem. So technically, it can still be called a house. Is this fine with Mr. Yang?"
He explained thoroughly and watched the younger nodded slowly afterwards. Then he added,
"Don't be afraid, I'm not planning to harm you" he smiled gently.
Jeongin just lowered his lashes and nodded again silently. Then, he glanced at the golden brown coat he was wearing alongside with the white shirt underneath.
"I want a new set of clothes, and a bath..maybe some breads too" he stopped, looking at Chan again for approval. "Also drop the mister. Just Yang, or Jeongin, they're already fine."
He said in a small voice, feeling a little weird as he never had someone calling him that before. Meanwhile, the male behind the table just smiled.
"I'll have someone prepare them for you. You're dismissed."
"Yes."

a/n Of course there are lots of really modern mansions nowadays. But personally, i love classical themed something something, from music to architecture designs.
So maybe it's because of this personal liking of mine that kinda made me want to mix it up even in my book.
Here's how the mansion actually supposed to be imaged as:
