Arriving to the after party sends adrenaline rushing through me. Seeing all the people and everyone already dancing makes me even more ready for the rest of the day. Grabbing Harry's wrist, I drag him along behind me as I push through the people and finally make it into the enormous building. The first person I spot is Marie with a gigantic smile on her face. In less then five seconds she has Harry wrapped up in her arms. For once I spot a genuine smile on Harry's face, not one of those half-assed smiles, and it almost sends shivers down my spine.

"Congrats mum." He mumbles.

"Thank you, love. I just want you to know that I'm not replacing your dad, okay? I never could, you know that." Marie pulls Harry back at arms length and he nods stiffly.

"Yeah." He says.

"Alright. I'll see you two around." She smiles and heads off.

"Well that was sweet of her." I smile as I grab a drink off of the plater someone is walking around with.

"Sure." Harry says distantly as he scrolls through his phone.

I'd understand Harry being on his phone any other time, but its his moms wedding for pete's sake, it's rude.

I hold out my hand and he just glances at it quizzically.

"What?" He asks.

"Give me." I say.

He snorts through his nose as if I've just told a joke and raises his hand above his head.

"You can have it," He smirks, "if you can get it, that is."

"You dick." I breathe, "I'm not going to jump while I'm in a dress at your mothers wedding." I glare at him.

"Ooh, language, Carissa. This is a very classy event and there is no need for such vulgar language!" He mocks offense, and places a hand over his heart.

"I wish I could slap you right now." I frowned.

"No you don't." Harry smirks, sitting at the table closest to us.

I roll my eyes, sitting down next to him. I feel my phone start to buzz in my hand and glance at the screen to see the name pop up across my phone which reads "Josh." Immediately I'm up out of my chair.

"I'll be right back, I need to take this call." I mumble and Harry doesn't pay much attention but acknowledges I'm leaving.

Walking out of the front of the building, I answer the call.

"Hello?" I breathe.

"Carissa. I've been trying to get ahold of you for ages." Josh's voice comes through the phone and its almost some sort of medication at this point, I haven't talked to him in what has felt like centuries.

"I'm sorry, Josh. I've just been busy with this whole thing, you know?" I look down at the ground, kicking a small pebble with my shoe.

"I wish I did know, Carissa." I can almost feel the hurt in his voice.

"Josh, I'm sorry, I'm so sorry, please forgive me?" I frowned, even though he couldn't see me.

"You picked some British guy over me, thats not exactly reassuring, babe." I can tell he's having trouble saying all of this.
