Indigo and Mitch stood together watching a game of pool when they got back. "Say, man, why don't you run out to the Centennial over there and pick me up a sixer of this stuff." Mel asked Mitch.

"Think you can do that?" Mel asked handing him money. "Uh.." Mitch trailed and Indigo rolled hr eyes. "Yeah we'll be back."

She grabbed onto his arm pulling him behind her. "How are we supposed to buy beer?" He asked her. "Just act old, they usually don't ID here." She said as she opened the door.

"Remember to eat a green thing everyday, and have lots of calcium." Indigo leaned around a shelf seeing a pregnant lady smoking a cigarette. "It's very important for young mothers."

She gave a Mitch a shocked look before grabbing the six pack out of the cooler. "Here you are, see you tomorrow night." He said as they got to the counter.

"How are you this evenin'?" The man asked. "Pretty good, how's it goin'?" Mitch asked back.

"Be goin' a lot better when I get off in a few hours." The man chuckled. "Yeah I hear that. Can I get pack of New Ports too?" Mitch asked. Indigo grinned, knowing he was buying them for her.

"You're eighteen right?" The man asked him. "Oh yeah." Mitch nodded. "Just graduated." Indigo added on.

The man smiled between the pair. "Congratulations you two, moving in together I assume?" Indigo nodded wrapping her hands around his arm. "Good guess." She said, playing along.

"You two off to college?" He asked. "I'm still not sure, I'm workin' right now for the city."

"But you know she's goin' so it keeps some money in our pockets." He added, nodding to Indigo. "I hear that, here's some more money for your pocket. You two have a nice night."

Indigo kept her arm wrapped on Mitch's and he grabbed the bag as they left. "You too."

"Psst! Hey Mitch." The pair turned at the sound of Tommy's voice. "Hey guys." He turned, obviously feeling confident. Indigo smiled slightly.

"Hey man, what's in the bag?" Tommy asked. "Uh, a sixer. You owe me one man." He pointed to Carl. "They busted the hell outta Hirschfelder too."

"Yeah, we heard." Indigo spoke up, as Mitch handed her the pack of cigarettes. "Thanks." She smiled lighting one.

The other three watched, shocked how close Mitch seemed to have gotten with the girl. "You guys over at the Emporium?"Tommy asked, surprised he wasn't dead.

"Oh, yeah." Mitch nodded as if it wasn't a big deal. "Is that bastard O'bannion over there?" Hirschfelder asked. "He always is." Indigo told them.

"You guys wanna get him back?" Mitch asked and they all agreed. "Mitch he could kill you." Indigo countered, worried for the boy.

The other three all laughed. "What are you, his mother?" Carl asked. Indigo rolled her eyes. "Oh please, you three wish you could be him right now." She said pulling Mitch away.

"You know Mitch, that Carl kid is little douche." She told him. "I know Indie, trust me." He chuckled putting his arm over her shoulders.

"So, we're moving in together." Indigo joked, referring to the man for the liquor store. "Obviously and then we'll get married."

They chuckled. "Yeah all that money you're saving up, nice using Woods line." Mitch smiled pushing open the door to The Emporium.

Mel cheered walking over to us. "He got it!" Mitch smiled. "I got your change too." But Mel waved him off. "Don't worry 'bout it man." He said as he passed a beer to everyone.

"Guys, party at the moon tower." Wooderson told them. "You and Benny pick up the first keg, I'm going to collect for the rest."

"You pulled it off Wood." Indigo said. "Of course I did Little Pickford, I don't disappoint." He said ruffling the girls hair. "Spread the word." He said as he walked away.

Indigo made her way over to the girl that had been talking them earlier, Julie, asking if she'd be apart of their plan.

"For sure, I hate that jackass." Julie said, following her. Indigo sent a nod over to Mitch who signaled for his friends to get ready.

"So did you hear they're busting Carl Burnett out back?" Indigo asked her as they passed O'bannion's table. "Wow." Julie said back.

He quickly walked to them. "What'd you just say?" He asked her. "About what?" She asked, pretending to be confused. "Carl Burnett."

"I just heard he's getting busted." She shrugged. "Let's go, let's go." He cheered running to the door.

The girls laughed, high fiving. "Wanna go watch?" Julie asked her. "Yeah." Indigo looked back at Mitch who was with Donny. "Meet you outside."

O'bannion shoved Carl against the wall. He started winding up. Indigo looked nervous, wondering why they hadn't dumped the paint yet.

But just after that a few drops fell on him. "What the fuck?" He looked up to see Tommy and Hirschfelder.

"Remember me you pig?" He asked, squealing before dumping the can onto O'bannion.

He walked around screaming at everyone. Indigo couldn't help laughing. "That was a great idea." She told Mitch, who smiled back.

"What are you smilin' at freshman faggots?" O'bannion yelled, shoving the pair. Indigo scoffed, starting towards him but Mitch pulled her back. "It's fine Indie." He whispered in her ear.

She sighed but stayed in place, in Mitch's arm. "Remember what I said Mitchie." Donny whispered to the boy before walking away.

"Hey Indie, I'm gonna head over to the Moon Tower with the guys." He said, pulling his arms away. "Okay, whose car are we-" She started to ask.

"Actually we're takin' Pink's so with statues you won't fit." He told her, hoping Donny's advice would work.

Her face fell. "Oh, I guess I'll catch a ride with Kev then." Mitch nodded walking away. "Yeah, I'll uh, see you there maybe." She nodded slightly. "Yeah, I guess."
