It was final....

Zareah's lie was found to be true, and Hazried's skeleton in the closet had just been found after many years of hiding.

Gwyar stood in awe of the elemental being standing before her. It looked different from other Omiharans. It wasn't one with the dark and light, but instead one with the earth. A noticeable glow surrounded the being, making it seem godly. Aside from it's white glow, it looked human. Too human for comfort, Gwyar wouldn't have noticed it wasn't if she hadn't been told about it.

She remembered what Zareah told her about this being.

"Esmeralda Omihara; the first being to be created by Hazried. They have existed since 511 BC and had lived in Ancient Greece and Ancient Rome before the falls of both. They were abandoned by Hazried in 513 BC and officially stopped trying to find them after 1 AD.
They are a very hostile being, child, so be weary. They have control over things that are more powerful then the light and dark combined."

How will they react to her knowing that it wasn't abandoned?

Will they be welcoming and friendly or will they also be a monster, fueled by the creator's bloodlust and savagery?

Wearily, Gwyar steeped from the shadows, "Esmeralda..."

The being froze before a small chuckle was heard.

They turned slightly with a small smile on their face, "Gwyar...right?"

Gwyar nodded hesitantly.

Esmeralda turned around to fully face Gwyar and slightly bowed, showing Gwyar respect.

Gwyar was stunned, why was this hostile being so kind. How did it even know her name?

"It's quite nice to finally meet you child, but I'd like to ask,"

The smile on their face suddenly disappeared and the look on their face became stern,

"What does Hazried want from me?"

Gwyar's eyes widened at the sudden change of mood, but held back her fear.

"Nothing, Hazried didn't send me. I asked Zareah about you after reading ancient texts. I'm just here to greet you."

Esmeralda's smile returned, "Those texts are risky to trust, aren't they?" They turned away and continued walking through ruined streets of once a beautiful castle town. Gwyar followed close behind.

"They say so much about how Hazried created us from love and creativity. In reality, she created us to get back at her own creator. You were practically useless after Christ was killed, but she kept you alive as she wants to use your power later on for something even I know not of. You are not her daughter. You're nothing, just a mere tool."

Gwyar's eyes widened, "Oh? Is that why she abandoned you?" She questioned, deciding to ignore the fact of being a 'tool'.

The taller being sighed heavily and shook her head, "I don't know. It probably was. I.. am very different from you. I wasn't what she wanted. I am a failed creation and she threw me out 'cause of it."

They looked over their shoulder to Gwyar, "All I've wanted was to be better. To prove my worth to be accepted by her. I guess it didn't work, heh...."

Gwyar pondered on what to say, she was never good with conversation.

"I accept you. I'm proud of you."

Esmeralda stilled, "...Thank you." They continued on.

Gwyar stood for a minute wondering. What if they came to Xientin? There's a whole side of the place Hazried barely ever goes to, she could just give it to Esmeralda! Gwyar ran up to the taller being.

"Hey! Aren't you sick of living in these ruins? There's no one here anymore, why stay?"

Esmeralda raised a brow, "These grounds are sacred to ancient gods. I stay here to try and protect it- that hasn't been working though."

"Oh... You could move to Xientin! It's a place Hazried made and there's a whole part of it that she has left in ruin. I've only been there once and it looks like something out of a fairytale!"

They raised their hand to their face in thought. Gwyar smiled, it looked as if they were considering her offer.

"Why is it in ruin?"

"After she made the place, she only tended to one side of it. People tried to move there, but it was all in vain as she'd leave them for dead if anything happened to them while they were over there."

There was a small moment of silence before the taller being spoke.

"I'll go in one condition."

"Yeah?" Gwyar looked to her fellow Omiharan.

"Don't tell Hazried about me. Don't even let her get close to me."

The younger of the two laughed awkwardly, "I'll make sure nothing happens."

Esmeralda smiled at Gwyar and motioned for her to lead the way. Gwyar smiled and showed her new friend to their home.

Off in the distance, watched a familiar face. Zareah smiled at the sight. Despite being a wholesome act, Gwyar fell into her own demise. Her plan had worked.

"One down, hundreds more to go."
