The next morning I woke up with a smile on my face.

I sat up before going down for breakfast to eat and then get dressed.

Once I finished I was surprised to hear a sudden honk come from outside.

I went over to the window before letting a grin spread across my face as I saw Thomas outside leaning against his jeep looking up to me with a warm smile.

One might even say lovesick.

But then again, if you saw me, you would say the exact same.

I take a deep breath as we pull up to school and see the students outside.

Thomas turns the car off before looking to me.

"You ready?"

"As I'll ever be." I say making him smile as he steps out the jeep before coming to my side and opening my door.

He shuts it before taking my hand in his own and pulls it up to his face as he places a kiss on it making me blush with a smile as he laughs.

I suddenly become very self conscious as I notice literally everyone was staring at us, though it seems we weren't the only one.

We watched as Edward and Bella got out of his Volvo before seeing us.

We all walk towards each other and meet in the middle as we walk up to the school.

"You know, everybody's staring." Bella says making me laugh at the obvious.

"No shit." I mutter anxiously.

Thomas notices this before whispering to me "The only thing I notice is you."

I blush at this and smile smacking him slightly making him laugh as we continue to the school.

"So does a person have to be dying?" I ask as we're now outside in the woods after school was over.

"To become like you?" I ask more specifically making him understand.

"No, that's just Carlisle. He'd never do this to someone who had another choice." He explains making me nod.

"So, how long have you been like this?" I ask carefully not wanting to upset him.

He looks down then back up to me "Since 1920. I wasn't turned by Carlisle though. He just found me one day when I was at my lowest. I'll never be able to truly thank him for all the things he did for me."

"So we're you bitten or did you- uh...." I stutter trying to not bring up bad memories.

He stops and says "It's okay. I was uh, dying until another vampire found me. Didn't get much choice when he turned me, but hey. If he didn't I wouldn't be here with you."

I send him a soft smile at this.

I could tell he wasn't being completely honest and was purposely being vague, but I wouldn't push him to answer.

"What was it like?" I ask thinking about what it's like being turned.

"The venom was excruciating." He starts as he looks down fiddling with a circular rock he found.
