Later in the week Bella and I were hanging out when her dad invited me to come eat with them. So here we are, Bella and I pulling up into the diner her and her father frequently visited.

I got out of the car and smiled once I seen our friends were also there.

"Hey Y/n!" They call making me wave as Mike comes over to us.

"Arizona. Yo, what's happening?" He says making me snort.

He sends me a wave and I nod as he walks with us.

"So you guys and the Cullens, huh?" He asks and I nod with a smile.

I frown though as he shakes his head "That's... I don't like it." He states talking more specifically to Bella.

"Well, it's a good your not the one dating him then, huh?" I ask with a fake smile.

"I mean, no offense but he just looks at you like your something to eat." He explains to Bella making me look away from him.

Ironic, that is the way he explains it.

Figures.

I roll my eyes at him before grabbing her arm as we walk into the building.

"Hey, sorry we're late. Biology project." Bella explains as we go and sit by him.

"Hello Bella, and hello my bonus child." He says making me chuckle.

"Hey Charlie." I say with a grin as I sit at the other side of Bella.

Let's just say I'm over by Bella's quite a lot.

"I ordered you the spinach salad. And Y/n, I got you the y/f/f, that's what you like, isn't it?" He asks making me smile at the fact he remembered.

He is very much like another father to me.

"Yeah, that's great. Thanks." I tell him and he nods.

Just then the waitress comes and sets down our plates.

"You should order one yourself next time. You to Y/n." She says making us both gasp at her.

I know she just means us eating better, but let's be honest. If we should eat healthy food, then why doesn't it taste as good as what is supposedly bad for us.

"Hey, I'm as healthy as a horse." He says pointing a finger at her making me laugh.

"Say, chief, boys want to know...did you find anything down by Queets River today?" The waitress asks clearly anxious about the whole situation.

"Yeah, we found a bare human footprint, but it looks like whoever that is is headed East so Kitsap County sheriff is gonna take over from here." Charlie explains making Bella and I look to each other knowingly.

"I just hope they catch him fast." She says her voice laced with sadness.

She then walks away and I turn hearing a tapping on the glass and silently laugh seeing Tyler and Eric at the window before they start dancing along with Mike clearly trying to get our attention.

"Looks like your friends are flagging you two." Charlie says.

"It would seem that way." I say throwing them a look through the window.

"It's okay if you both want to join them. I'm just gonna turn in early anyway." He tells us.

We shake our heads as Bella says "Us. Too."

"Bella, Y/n, it's Friday night. Go out. Do something together if you want. Looks like the Newton boys got a big smile for you." He says, specifically the ending to Bella.
