The beach is not what I pictured.

I was thinking warmth, sand, and blue water.

Instead it's rocky and cold.

I shiver hugging myself in my hoodie letting out a breath that I could see in the air from the cold.

I sat with Bella in Tyler's van as the door was open, we huddled together and watched as the the psychos known as Mike, Tyler, Jessica and Eric put on wet suits.

I don't understand how they could even think of getting in the water being this cold.

"I don't know if it's worth it anymore." Eric whines as Jessica laughs telling him "Well we're here now anyway."

"I'm at least paddling out." She adds tells him also agreeing on how cold it is.

"She's right." Mike says zipping up his suit.

"You guys are babies." She says making me look down pulling a blanket from the back seat around me.

Bella, Angela, and I would not be getting into the water.

Not a chance.

"So I keep thinking that Eric's gonna ask me to the prom, and then he just doesn't." Angela says suddenly getting our attention.

I give her a soft smile as Bella says "You should ask him."

She shakes her head making me speak up.

"Yeah, she's right. Take control. You're a strong, independent women!" I exclaim raising a fist making her laugh.

"I am?" She asks.

"Yes." We both say and I can tell it made her feel better.

"Hey, will you zip me up?" Jessica says coming by us.

"Yeah." Angela tells her zipping up the suit.

I then look up seeing three boys walk over to us an eye them curiously.

"Bella!" One of them exclaims making me look to her.

I didn't know she knew anyone down here.

"Hi, Jacob." She greets with a small smile.

"Y/n, this is Jacob." She says looking to me than him.

"Hi." I say and he smiles holding his hand out and I give him my own as he says "Hi."

"So you're Y/n. Bella's told me all about you." He says with a smile.

"Well I'd hope so, sorry to say I haven't heard about you." I joke slightly making him out his hand to his heart.

"Ouch." He laughs.

He then sits besides Bella and I.

"What are you, like, stalking me?" she jokes making him scoff.

"You're on my rez, remember?" He counters.

"Are you guys surfing?" He asking making me scoff this time.

"And freeze, no thank you." I say making him laugh as Bella says "What she said."

Jessica then speak up saying "You guys should keep Y/n and Bella company. Their dates bailed."

I frown at this and glare slightly to the girl.

"What date?" Mike, Eric, and Tyler asked looking to us almost protectively causing me to chuckle.

"Bella invited Edward and Y/n invited Thomas." She says.

"Too be polite, that's it." Bella quickly says while I shrug and say "I don't have to explain myself."
