                                   Chapter 1
                       Where The Story Begins

The sun shines through the window as I rise. I can see my dark reflection through the hard wood floor. My blonde hair flows in front of my face. Just another day in Beacon Hills. This is where I live, 16 year old me. I feel my head turning towards the door as my best friends walk in.

"Rise and shine y/n," Allison says to me.

Allison is one of my best friends, she is amazing at archery. She has beautiful brunette hair and deep brown eyes.

"School starts in just an hour, get out of bed," demands Lydia.

I snap out of my daydream as Lydia goes on...

"Wake uppppp," says Lydia basically shoving me out of bed.

I hate being a sophomore, I think to myself. I see Lydia using my cotton candy perfume. Her strawberry blonde hair always attracts the guys. As well as her sea green eyes. I've always been jealous of her, my crush Stiles begs for her attention, but he never noticed me.

Time to get ready... I think to myself.

"I need to get dressed you weirdos," I say laughing as I hurry Allison and Lydia out of my bedroom. "I'll be downstairs once I'm ready."

I throw on a white laced crop top and some very light blue ripped jeans. I straighten my hair and decide to leave it down today. I grab my coffee cup as I am about to head downstairs. I look at myself.

"Just get through the day, it's only a day..." I tell myself.

I look up and head straight for the door. I walk down the brown hard wood stairs of our house. I live with Allison and Lydia in this place, I don't know what I would do without them.  I am officially and orphan, apparently my parents where killed when I was just a baby. I lived with Allison and Lydia's parents until then and we eventually moved out and got our own house together, even though I'm not sure how that is possible since we are only 16.

Step, step, step until I'm finally down the stairs. The huge glass chandelier hangs about 15 feet above my head. I move on to the kitchen preparing myself to be hurdled out the door by my friends. I walk in and the white walls look shinier than ever.

"Come on get over here," says Lydia.

"Nice outfit today y/n, I was thinking we could all hang out with Scott and Stiles this afternoon." Allison suggests.

My heart skips a beat once I hear Stiles name. I've been too shy to try and talk to him these days.

Next thing I know Allison, Lydia and I are all in the car. Everything from that moment until first period seems to be a blur.

"Y/n," says coach. "Come up here and demonstrate something for me."

Coach is in charge of the lacrosse team. Everyone here calls him coach, not only the players. Scott and Stiles are on the lacrosse team too. I don't think they are very good though.

Coach gets a ping pong ball out of his desk.

        "Here," he says. "Watch closely."

He positions himself in a wide parallel position, he lifts his hand towards a plastic cup he has on the floor. He aims and he shoots as the ping pong ball lands in the cup.

"Your turn," says coach. He drops the ping ping ball in my hand.

I can feel everyone's eyes on me, especially Stiles. Him, Scott, Lydia and Allison all sit in the front in one group. I sit next to them of course, I see my empty desk in between my two friends.

I turn towards the cup, it's only a few feet away. I position myself just as coach did and get ready to shoot. I eye the cup as I prepare for devastation. I prop up the ping pong ball in my right hand. I am and now sh...

The door flies open. The sheriff of our town walks up to coaches desk.

"Sheriff Stilinski," says coach. "May I ask why you are here?"

I can hear him stutter as I know he is as confused as everyone else. I stand in the middle of the classroom waiting to see what is going to happen.

"Dad." Says Stiles. Oh right I think to myself... the sheriff is Stiles father. I start to get more nervous as my hands are getting sweaty.

"I'm here for Scott and Stiles," says the sheriff.

Scott and Stiles stand up and walk to the door as Allison, Lydia and I all shoot them confused looks. We all stare at each other stunned. They walk out of the classroom and the bell rings

I immediately drop the ping ping ball on the ground, gather my stuff and exit the door.

"Y/n you're still demonstrating this tomorrow," shouts coach.

I glare back and give him a reassuring nod and thumbs up. Allison and Lydia pop up to my sides.

"We need to find out where Scott and Stiles went," I say.

"This must be about what happened in the woods last night," says Allison. I can hear the fear in her voice.

We all see Scott, Stiles and sheriff Stilinski exiting the building heading for his police car.

"Let's go," says Lydia.

We all rush after them as I grow worried. What if he knows what happened to Scott last night in the woods, I think to myself. What if it's something more...
