"the king of the fire element and the king of the water element." king all for one [afo] says as he spreads out a map that holds almost every place. from the places they rarely been to the places they're always at. to the deepest part of the mountain to the shallows of the ocean. basically, this map is everything and if king afo were to lose it, game over for him."kings?" his trusty right-hand man, shigaraki. although, shigaraki was pretty young to be in charge of the whole army, he was the only one afo trusted. i mean, he [afo] practically raised the boy. to put it short, he [afo] found the boy on the streets and took him in.
"yes son. dragons." the king watches as the boy's face scrunches up at the thought of dragons. sure he's heard stories about dragons but that didn't change his mind. his mindset changed because of what happened. he can still remember it to this day.
he remembers his mother's screams as an earth dragon grabs her out of their house. his father wasn't home but at work at the time. so when he came home to no wife, he was surprised and worried. he kept looking for her around the house but she wasn't anywhere. he kept on shaking the poor boy to try get something out of him. however, the boy was too stunned to speak til the next hour. after that incident, his father was cautious of almost everything. he was always held close by his father. and his father made sure he'd [shigaraki] never leave his sight. to say he was paranoid would be quite an understatement.
but he too was taken away from the boy.
grabbed from his house.
by an earth dragon.
just like how his mother was taken from him.
"i thought all those bastards were dead!" he exclaimed, gritting his teeth. he can't bare to look at one and not think about killing it. well, almost every adult on this earth wants to kill them. it's like it's in their blood, their nature. no one even knows why they have the urge to, they just do. well maybe it's because of the stories they read as a kid. kids nowadays don't read those stories, told that it was simply a myth. books about dragons had stop selling once there was only two left or in shigaraki's teen years.
"yes, but not these two. there has been a reported sighting of a dragon burning a part of the forest. however, it wasn't clear due to the sight being from afar. but they very much alive and breathing."
"but what makes them kings? i've never heard of king dragons before."
the king chuckles at this, thinking how stupid of them to rid of dragon books. just because dragons are near extinction, doesn't mean the books of them should be rid of. it's still good to have some knowledge about human's past enemies.
"they're royal blood, making those blood suckers the kings. each element has their own royal blood line." a crate drops down on the table, right on the map. inside the crate was paper rolled up and tied with a silver ribbon.
"take a look, my boy. these are sketches of the last dragons." pulling the ribbon, undoing the tie, the paper quickly unrolls itself, revealing a sketch of an dragon. he [shigaraki] runs his hands over the markings on the paper, tracing the creature's wings.
"this is the..-"
"king of the water element? indeed it is. pretty ain't it?"
the boy nods his head in agreement as he stares at the drawing in awe. even though he wasn't personally face to face with it, he was still stunned. if it wasn't for his hatred for dragons, he would've thought about riding it. (httyd)
"there has only been one sighting of the water beast while there's a few sightings of the fire beast. the water beast is more..how would you say this?...more kept to himself? ah! reserved! meanwhile the fire beast don't care. there have been times where he just flies over the village."
unraveling another paper, this time, different type of dragon appears. 'king of fire dragon.' the boy thought as yet another dragon stuns him. yep, the fire king did not care. in the drawing was him flying away with a village's sheep. now all these drawings were based off the sightings.
putting the two papers together, he noticed a difference. one was bigger than the other. the water king was more on the slender side and a bit smaller than the other. meanwhile, the fire king was more bulky and was large for a dragon. now thinking about it, he heard rumors about the fire dragon taking up the whole space on the tip of a mountain. using his big brain, he put two together and figured the water dragon was more slender to make it easier to maneuver in the water. for the fire dragon, he was too sure why he was bulky but thought that he didn't need to be slender.
"now, no one has ever found their grounds until now."
"what do you mean by that?"
"to put it short, some of our men went exploring the ocean and we found where we think the water dragon is. bubbles in the water? that's a big giveaway."
"but that's only one dragon. you said 'their' as in both of them."
"listen here son. if we have at least one royal, we'll find any other royals out there."
staring back at the map, the boy looks where the king has pointed to. The Eye of the Mystic. it was the center of the mystic ocean, the ocean where no one really goes to anymore. it was a mystery. long ago it was just like any other ocean, clear sky, calm water, and crystal clear water. almost everyone used to sail through it.
that was until one day.
it has been a few days since the dragon hunt started. a merchant ship was passing through the mystic ocean. let me say, it was a beautiful day. clear sky, calm waves pushing them towards their destination, and sea birds flying around as they hunt for fish. everyone was outside enjoying the view..well all except one..
john gutz, the first guy to report for the sea and witness the water king himself.
at the time, he was looking over the railing. they were currently passing through the eye or center of the mystic ocean. everything seemed fine until bubbles surrounded the whole ship. the whole crew was stupid so they didn't think much about it. however, john thought something strange was gonna happen so he headed inside his cabins.
he was right.
the once clear sky, had a huge dark cloud hovering over the ship. the waves suddenly quickened their pace. john kept rocking back and forth inside the cabin. and just as quick as it came, it disappears.
feeling the rocking has stopped, john left the cabin. no was on the ship. all that was left was blood. in streaks, puddles, or droplets. oh. and there is a leg hanging off the railing.
'what the-' before he could finish his thought, the leg suddenly fell over the rail. more like, the leg was grabbed. out of the blue, a huge creature submerges from the ocean depth. his eyes widens as the creature shakes its blue head to get the water off. the creature then turns its head towards john and stares at him. shock was an understatement for john. he's never been this close to an dragon, not to mention the fact that it's the water king. actually, he's never really seen one. at the moment dragons were actually now uncommon to see.
just like the previous events, it disappears as quick as it appears. with one big splash, it's gone.
once he reached shore, he started crying and screaming. everyone thought he was mental and didn't believe his story. so when the king got involved, he was sentence to death.
