Help me remember

The Library

Kiyoko looked at him and smiled a bit. “Hey, it’s alright, you can become friends again?” She said, trying to make Kuroo feel better. Asahi jumped in .“Yeah, just talk with him and you know maybe he’ll remember you after a while” Kuroo smiled a little and shrugs. “Yeah, I guess.. ehm I gotta go to Suga now, it’s nice to see you all again” he quickly said as he walked over to Suga. The three glanced at each other, feeling bad for Kuroo.

“So what are you getting?” Kuroo said as he stood beside Suga. The grey-haired male looked over at Kuroo, glad he decided to come with. “Mm..probably just get..a meat bun today with some fruit on the side” That was a normal lunch thing for him. Something with protein and then fruit, and though he hates it, he also had his vegetables. He had it every other day. “Have you decided on anything yet?” He asked as he gathered what he wanted.

He made sure to stay by Kuroo because he was scared to lose the taller one. I guess in a way he was starting to get overprotective of the other. He hadn’t figured out why, but he had a strong feeling that he most definitely knew the other. He was determined to figure it out, but then again he didn’t want to seem creepy about it all. Kuroo looked around and saw something with fish so he decided to get that and some vegetables.

“Yep I got my food” he smiled as they got back to the table. Kuroo stayed quiet as he pretends to not know his friends. Kuroo chuckles a few times at the things they’re saying as he eats his food. Sometimes glancing at Suga if he’s not looking at him, his way. Suga looked a bit different, maybe it was his hair that changed but something definitely is different about him. Kuroo thought, frowning a bit. Maybe if he stayed here and didn’t move away, he would remember him, just maybe he could’ve changed things but it was already too late. Now Kuroo just had to make him remember him. Little by little.

The day seemed to go a lot faster than any other day. Suga was waiting outside on a bench reading waiting for his friends to come out. He found a stopping point and put the book away. He looked up just to see if they were near. He smiled when he saw a somewhat familiar bed head. He got up and made his way over to him. He walked beside him and gave him a little nudge “heyyy” he chuckled softly “How’d you like your first day of school?” He asked, genuinely interested in how Kuroo’s experience was.

Kuroo looked startled at him, not expecting him. “Ah Hello,” he said, smiling at his once old friend. He hummed “it was alright, everyone seemed nice? Although I did find people fighting in one of my classes but for the rest it was fine.. and I got a friend now,” he said, pointing at Suga. “And the food was .. okay” he shrugs, looking at the ground. “So what are you doing now? Or what are your plans for the rest today?” 

“Awe I’m glad you see me as a friend,” Suga said with his bright smile and his face has a light tint of pink on it. He pulled out his phone and texted the others that he was gonna walk with Kuroo with his signature smiley face at the end. “Uhm..nothing really...I guess just hanging out at the house. I think my mom is having some of her friends come over” Suga slowed down his walking pace a bit “how about you?” He asked as he put his phone back in his pocket and looked over at Kuroo again “That sounds fun?” He said, unsure. He starts thinking about what he’s gonna do for the rest of today.

“Hm I don’t know, I’m going home to drop my stuff off at my house and then I’m planning on going to the library to get some books,” he said as he walked beside Suga. “Would you like to join me? If it’s alright for you.” Kuroo asked, knowing that reading is one of Suga’s favorite things to do. “If you don’t want to then that’s alright,” he said quickly after and smiled.“I would love to go!” Suga announced, sounding super excited about it. He looked away, blushing from embarrassment.

“I mean uhm..yeaaa that sounds cool..” he rubbed the back of his neck.“Do you mind if I run by my house as well? Just to drop off my bag?” He asked just in case Kuroo wanted to split up and meet back at the library or if he just wanted to walk together. He knew he also needed to try to find a certain book to finish one of his favorite series. It was a fairly new book, but he was hoping that he would be able to find it.

“Oh sure, we can meet back at the local library if that’s alright with you,” he said as he looked around. “Hm my house is not that far from here so I’ll be at the library in like twenty minutes or so?” He said, looking at his watch. “Or maybe earlier, I don’t know” He looked back at Suga. “Your house is not that far either so-“ he stopped talking and looked at the ground and then back up. “Ehm I mean I don’t know where you live of course but I see that your walking with me so I assumed your house isn’t that far,” he said, hoping Suga wasn’t suspicious of him.

Suga thought that it was a bit weird, but pushed it off as an honest mistake. He did justify his words. He chuckled softly “no your right, I don’t live too far. I’ll meet you there then.” He was at a splitting point. He started walking the other way towards his house “I better see you there…if you don’t show up I don’t think I’ll ever be able to forgive you” He of course was being overdramatic, and messing around. He winked before heading off again towards his house.

He soon got home and greeted his mom. He told her a bit about the day and of his ‘new’ friend. Before leaving again he grabbed his wallet and kissed his mom on the cheek “I’ll text you later” he then skipped out of the house and soon got to the library. Kuroo laughed and shook his head as he walked the other way. He arrived home, expecting no one and he was right, his parents are working as always. He rolled his eyes as he drops his bag in his room and quickly ate something. He grabbed the important stuff like the house keys and his wallet.

He left a note for his parents to let them know he’s out with a friend, although he didn’t think someone was gonna be home soon. He got outside and walked over to the library. He saw Suga standing there. “Heyo!” He said as he jumped before Suga. Suga jumped a little from surprise. He laughed at himself a little “heyyy” he shook his head a little “I forgot to ask..what kind of books do you like to read?” He already had one of his own books in his hand. He had brought it because in the very back of the book it had all of the other books in the series listed.

I'm not exactly sure how often I will be uploading new chapters. I wanna try to do it once a day since I have a lot of this story written out. I can't guarantee it, but I can try. In the future as well it may drop down to once a week, or once every two weeks
