"Miss Jade," I hear a voice whisper. "Miss Jade, please wake up." I sigh deeply, sitting up and rubbing my eyes. I frown when I see that Harry has left me as Shriya stares up at me with curious eyes.

I look at the clock. 4 PM. "Where's Harry?"

Shriya shrugs her little shoulders. "I saw Mister Harry go outside into this black, moving thingy. It looked so cool!"

I chuckle. "That's called a car, love."

Her brown eyes widen in astonishment. "What's a car?"

"A car is a moving... thingy that brings you anywhere you want. To the bakery, the store... anywhere," I say as Shriya lets out a little gasp.

"I want to go inside of a car! That's my goal in life!" She exclaims and I cannot help but laugh. Children these days want the most hi-tech gadgets while little Shriya wants to be inside a car.

"I can ask... Mister Harry if you could go in a car," I suggest and Shriya looks at me in awe.

"Yes please!" She exclaims and scurries off into another room. I chuckle when she comes back into the room, her heading popping into the area at the side of the door frame. "Mister Harry's here!" And then she leaves.

I take that as my cue to get up and quickly brush my teeth. Sleeping the whole morning was nice but it probably was not a good idea. Does Harry have any new news for me? Where did he even go?

After freshening up, I walk down the stairs. Anne is nowhere to be found, Gemma is on the couch in the living room watching Mickey Mouse with Shriya and Harry is at the doorway taking his jacket off. In his hands is a white box.

"Where's Anne?" I ask, approaching Harry.

Gemma diverts her attention to me. "She went out for her daily jog." Anne goes jogging every day? How did I miss that?

I shake away my thoughts, standing in front of Harry. He smiles down at me as I wrap my arms loosely around his waist. "Where were you?" I place my chin on his chest, looking up at him.

"I went to the store to buy you something," Harry says vaguely, a grin creeping up his face.

I groan. "Harry, I hate it when you go out and buy me things. Unless it's food, buy me lots of that."

Harry rolls his eyes at me and kisses my nose. "Open it, you'll thank me later."

I pull away from him, grabbing the white box from him begrudgingly. As I open the flap of the box, it reveals a familiar black rectangular device that is about the size of my face. A phone, one that is similar to Harry's. I flip it over, the usual Apple sign on the back. "What the hell is this shit?"

Harry frowns. "Shit? This is the iPhone 89!"

"I don't care about the number, why did you buy me a phone in the first place?"

He laughs at me. "Its not just a number, babe. The number represents the generation of the phone."

I stare at him blankly. Does he not know me enough to know that I do not know shit? Especially all of this technology shit.

"Anyways, I bought this for you so whenever you're away from me or if you're in trouble, you can just give me a call," he says simply. I open my mouth. "I'll teach you how to work it." I close my mouth.

"Harry, you honestly didn't need to buy me this," I say, pushing the box into his hands. "I don't need some rectangle mobile device on me all of the time. Besides, you and I both know me well enough to know that I will probably use the phone to play some stupid game."
