This chappie is dedicated to datblonde17. She made another version of 'Salute' entirely in Perrie's POV. The beginning is a bit like my work but she just started it so in the future it will have her own twist to it. It is called 'Little Me' so please check it out! :]

∞ Chapter 9 ∞

"Come on Jade! We have to go to the Home now!" Gemma says, taking one of my pillows and hitting me with it. I groan, hiding my face in my own pillow. She pulls my duvet down, the cold air encountering with my skin.

"We have to leave in thirty minutes; I laid your clothes out. Come on!" Gemma says, pulling me out of bed. She leaves my room as I stumble upon my feet. I groggily go into the bathroom, brushing my hair and teeth. I take a quick shower and brush my hair again. I wrap a white towel around my body. I quickly run into my room, locking the door.

I change into the clothes Gemma laid out for me, which is a black tank top that says 'DING DONG' in white —I have no idea what it reads obviously —army printed pants and white boots. The black shirt only reaches my torso, revealing my stomach. I frown at it.

I walk down the grand staircase and into the kitchen to see Gemma packing yesterday's leftover lasagna into a large, black container.

"Gemma, there is a problem," I say, as she puts the container into a plastic bag. She grabs her keys from the counter and switches the lights off.

"What's wrong?" she asks.

"This shirt. I can't wear this! It shows my stomach!" I say, pointing at the piece of clothing.

"One, it is called a crop top. And two, it's just the style. You look great in it, Jade!" Gemma exclaims. Before I can protest, she grabs my wrist and pulls me into her black car.

"Why are we rushing?" I ask her as she pulls out of the driveway quickly and onto the road.

"Because if Harry sees us, he will lose his shit. He doesn't know that I visit the Home. I can't just stop going there because of him!" Gemma says, letting out an exasperated sigh.

"Well I could always kick him in the balls if he won't let you," I say nonchalantly, shrugging my shoulders. Gemma laughs, throwing her head back as well.

"You are so blunt sometimes," she says, chuckling softly. "But you don't need to do that. I am fine right now."

"Oh well then," I say, flipping my hair dramatically. Gemma rolls her eyes before smiling. "Anyways, how many times do you visit the Home?"

"Well about once a week. I missed last week's visit because you were here," she explains and I nod. I have been here for almost two weeks.

"So I will be coming here often," I say with a determined nod. Gemma smiles softly. She pulls up to a white house. The paint is chipping off, the Home looking very dull. I frown at the sight.

"Oh my..." I say, my voice trailing off. Gemma nods. "So every elderly woman around the world and young boy comes here?"

"Pretty much," she says, sighing. "But there aren't much people coming here because now doctors are killing newborn girls." I shake my head. I have said it before and I will say it again. This is just sick...

We exit the car, Gemma locking it afterwards. She opens the door to the Home. It breaks, the door coming right out of the wall. She sighs, putting the broken door to the side. We enter the room, and my heart drops.

There are some elderly women walking slowly with their canes supporting them while others are helping the young boys around. One elderly woman is feeding a young boy, her hand shaking vigorously.

A little boy runs to Gemma, limping slightly. He is in a ripped blue shirt, his denim jeans too short for him. He has no hair on his little head.

"Gemmy!" he yelps. Some other young boys with no hair and similar clothes come running over to her and she chuckles.

"Okay, everyone. I brought a friend. She is super nice and she has something for you all!" Gemma says, crouching down in front of them all. The boys cheer loudly. The elderly women smile at them.

"Jade, this is Henry, Max, Jason, Chris and PJ," Gemma says, standing up. She whispers softly in my ear. "They have a disease called cancer. They are under chemotherapy which makes their hair fall out of their head." I nod. I crouch down as well.

"Are any of you hungry?" I ask and as if on cue, all of their stomachs rumble in unison. I chuckle as they all nod. "Well I have some food for you!" They cheer again as Gemma hands me the plastic bag. I open the large tray with lasagna. All of them look at the food in awe, some of them drooling.

"Now everyone form a single file line. Don't push each other, all right? There is enough food for everyone!" Gemma says and the boys form a line, some of them running out from other rooms to join the line. I smile as Gemma helps me pass out the lasagna onto plastic plates. All of the boys sit on the ground, eating the delicious food with their forks. I smile.

"Let's pass them out to the elderly women," Gemma says and I nod. We stand up with the tray, plates and forks. We pass out the food to the elderly women, all of them thanking us tremendously for helping them.

"Bless your hearts," one of the women says, three others nodding. She looks at me. "What's your name sweetheart?"

"Jade, I'm from the SI," I say and all four of the women gasp.

"Oh my! You poor thing!" one of them exclaims.

"You are the Jade that Harold Chose? I see why, you are absolutely beautiful!" another one comments, making the heat go up to my cheeks. I look to the ground. I have never had this kind of affection from anyone. All of my life, I have been called shit, treated like shit and looked like shit. This is definitely a change.

"Oh... t-thank you," I stutter slightly.

"Did he make you do anything?" the last one asks.

"Janet!" the first one exclaims, glaring at the one called 'Janet'.

"No, it's all right! No, he didn't... make me do anything," I say.

"Jade has a plan," Gemma starts, earning all four of the women's attention. "She is going to start the Revolution."

"What?!" all of them exclaim in unison with a bewildered expression.

"I have a few things up my sleeve. I am just tired of all of... this," I say, looking around. The roof is leaking and it is not even raining. "I want to give this place a makeover."

"A makeover?" Janet asks.

"I can have a few of my friends help and we can clean this place up. You all deserve better than this... place," I say, biting my tongue so I do not swear. Gemma smiles.

"That's a great idea! I can have a couple of my friends help as well," she offers and the elderly women smile, tears streaming down their cheeks.

"Bless your hearts... just... bless it," one of them says, wiping away at their tears. I smile.

"You all just deserve better. We are just doing what is right," I say with a shrug.

"Speaking of what is right," Gemma starts. "Okay, everyone. Jade and I have to leave now. We will come visit later. Jade and I have some... business to attend." I look at her with an odd expression. The young boys let out an 'aw'. They scream out a loud 'bye' as we exit the Home.

"Why are we leaving?" I ask her as she enters her car. We have only been here for about twenty minutes.

"One of my friends, Lindsay, is going to help us with getting the women out of the SI," Gemma explains, pulling out of the driveway. She speeds off onto the road.

This is actually happening, the Revolution will finally happen. Peace will be brought back to the women and to others.

The time has come...
