I sat down on the floor in the corner of the classroom. I sat with my legs crossed as Blaine flew over and landed gently in front of me. He landed with a red candle. He proceeded to light it, his golden eyes beaming right at me.

"So," Blaine said, his voice now sounding calm and soothing. "I take it you meditated on your vacation before the school year right?"

"Yes sir," I responded, a smile forming on my face. "However, every time I do, I end up having visions that take me back to the final battle. Once I envisioned Xorale taunting me while all of the people I cared about died. Also, during the vision, I didn't have any elemental power at all. It was as if I was normal, being tortured by the devil himself."

"Good," Blaine stated, calmly. "That is the first sign that you've started your journey. The fact that your powerless in your vision shows that your elemental energy is low. So today, we're going to focus on building that up again."

"How so, sir?" I asked, now looking into the flame of the candle.

"So for our first session, we're going to meditate and keep the flame of the candle alive. I want you to breathe in and out slowly. As you do that, I want you to focus your elemental energy, as low as it may be, on the flame. As you breathe in, the flame will rise. As you exhale, the flame will go down."

I nodded, closing my eyes and holding my hands over the candle. I took a deep breath in and I could feel the flame tugging a bit. I could feel the life inside of the flame. As I kept inhaling, I could feel the flame getting closer to the palm of my hand. As such, as I began to exhale, I could feel the flame lowering and tugging less. There was less tension in the energy.

"Very good, Rick," Blaine stated. "To build up your strength efficiently, I'm going to train you how to connect to your element the way us dragons do it."

"Is that the point of me meditating with you?" I asked, smiling. "Because I thought I was going to be meditating with the headmaster."

"You will be," Blaine replied, smiling back at me. "After the blow you took in that battle with Xorale, Voren and myself will ensure that you get back to your full strength."

I nodded in understanding, returning to my meditation. I began to inhale and exhale as needed. As I continued, Blaine began to speak some more.

"Now Rick," he said calmly. "I'm going to guide you into a vision. You have nothing to fear as it will be a vision that I gift to you. This vision will be of the early days of us dragons."

I nodded as I continued to meditate. After a few more times of inhaling and exhaling, I found myself upon a mountain top. There were no humans, buildings or anything modern around. I didn't know where I was but I felt something telling me to climb down the mountain and head towards the sunset. As I climbed down, I could hear roaring off in the distance. I made my way down to the ground and proceeded west. As I walked, I could feel something inside of me growing stronger. It felt like I was traveling for miles before anything seemed to happen.

Eventually, I found myself walking towards a mountain that seemed different from all the rest. It was black, charred and had cryptic symbols engraved in the rock. At the top of the mountain, I saw a giant dragon. It was bigger than I could have ever imagined. As I looked to my right, I saw a line of dragons going up the side of the mountain. I ran towards the rocks and began climbing. I needed to know what was going on. Instinctive, as I climbed, I began going faster. It kind of reminded me of sex with Vicky if I'm being honest. I climbed to the top of the mountain to see Blaine kneeling before the giant dragon.

"Oh Dragon Lord," Blaine pleaded. "Please grant me the gift of fire to create life and protect my family. I had a vision that a race called humans came along and wiped us out."

The giant dragon gazed upon Blaine. "I will grant your wish, my child. For I showed every dragon that vision for it is the future. However, humans will not necessarily be evil to us. One day there will be elementals who will need our guidance in order to survive. All I ask is that if you ever encounter the elementals, teach them our ways to keep our legacy alive."

Blaine nodded and the giant dragon beathed fire upon him. As Blaine flew away he blew an extreme wave of fire out of his mouth. As the flames spread across the mountains, my vision came to an end. I opened my eyes to see Blaine sitting across from me. Inherently, I put my hand back over the flame and inhaled. This time a ball of fire bounced into the palm of my hand. I felt more energized but I still felt drained at the same time.

"Thank you for sharing that with me, sir," I said to Blaine, my voice humble. "I feel like I have more of an understanding as to what my purpose is as an elemental."

"Does it remind you of someone?" Blaine asked. "When I approached the Lord of the Dragons, I wanted the ability of fire to protect my loved ones and to create life through the flames. It just so happens that the same thing has already happened to you. With the gift of fire, you were able to protect those you care about from Xorale. And by creating life through your flames, as well as other elements, you were able to defeat him and create a better life for us all."

My jaw hit the floor as Blaine's words echoed into my head. It dawned on me just how similar the two of us were. We had both had the same purpose to our elemental abilities. Blaine and I continued to talk for a few more moments before the bell went off again. This time, the bell meant a free period for Vicky and I. I smiled and thanked Blaine as I made my way out of the classroom.
