We got to a desolate village, the village was so quiet I could hear mosquitoes buzzing. Harry suggested, "If I were the kidnapper, I would hide Edan in an abandoned house. Should we start searching?" I nodded, "Yes, search for abandoned houses." We did so, but we didn't have any luck. There was an old man with few teeth, standing in front of a farmland. From faraway, he looked like a scarecrow, except that he was taller and skinnier. He had a supporting stick, and he didn't seem dumbfounded about the fact that there were 25 girls and boys looking around.

Manson tried to ask as politely as he could manage, "Hello sir. Sorry to bother you, but we want to ask if there is an abandoned house somewhere in this village." He didn't seem to understand what we were saying. After trying to explain for a few times, we gave up asking him and decided to find it ourselves.

As we got to the hillside, we saw a sign, which was weird because we didn't seem to see any sign when we first arrived. The sign pointed upwards, and we decided that it would be wise to follow it instead of walking around cluelessly.

But it wasn't a piece of cake. Some dear classmates of mine lacked exercise, and they didn't have enough stamina to walk straight up the mountain, so we had to stop for a few breaks. We were annoyed, but we couldn't just leave them alone.

We walked and walked, it seemed endless. But finally, we got to the top of the mountain. And there was nothing. Nothing at all, just a piece of flatland. We got up there for nothing at all. The sign was false. The boys grumbled, annoyed at what the sign had gotten us into. I tried to reassure them, "I guess we'll just have to walk back down and start analysing all over again, I have a feeling the real clue is not here. so let's keep walking okay?" They didn't seem to like the idea of walking down again, but they obeyed.

Walking down was way easier than walking up. We stopped for less breaks and it was faster. We were all desperate, and uplifting the mood became one of my favourite hobbies.

We decided that walking aimlessly in a desolate village in Tuen Mun wouldn't be helpful to our investigation, so we decided to head back to school. The moment we got back to school, I noticed that a note was stuck to the door of our classroom again, and this time, it was a new note.

6C,
Our ambush is not in Tuen Mun, you've wasted a whole afternoon searching for nothing. You better figure out where our hidden spot is in two days, because if you don't come in two days, E will he harmed.
L

There were some stains like blood on the paper. Cyril said in a panicked tone, "We have to hurry! Edan has been harmed!" Ellen snapped, "We can't just go! We don't even know where there ambush is, we can't just be reckless and impulsive! If L gave us two days, I'm pretty sure that means he or she doesn't want to hurt Edan." Hailey hesitated, "How do you explain the blood stains though?" My eyes widened, "They're not blood stains, they're lipstick stains. L is a female."

I examined the note again. When I got to the top right corner, I saw the grid reference again, and on top of that... it wrote "this is not the location". So I searched for another clue. I asked, "Does anyone have ultraviolet light?" Poopins demanded, "What do you need it for?" I explained impatiently, "Maybe the real clue is written in a special pen, that way, we won't be able to find it just by looking at it." He reluctantly handed me his ultraviolet torch. I shined it at the paper, nothing else was written.

Ellen suggested, "Maybe we need water." "Good idea." I said. I grabbed the hose and we sprayed water all over the paper. Some words were written right in the middle.

Diamond Hill, that was their real ambush.

Sorry for the cliffhanger muahaha anyway I hope you enjoyed this chapter and stay tuned for another one i'm working on it.
