8 PM, the time that Simon was home alone. His parents were on a trip together and Nick was at his girlfriend's house. He never felt more alone.

That was. until a knock appeared on the door.
Simon thought Nick had come home early.

Rushing down the stairs, his face drops when he looks through the window. He had never opened a door much quicker.

"JJ!", Simon yelled, embracing him in a warm hug.
"Hi Simon.", JJ said casually, hugging him back.

"I never thought you'd come back!", Simon said, pulling on JJ's arm signing to get inside.
"I never thought you'd let me in.", JJ grinned.

"Simon, I'm sorry for playing you like that. Really, it was a shit action and I regret it with every fucking bone in my body. I should've ended the bet way before. I shouldn't have even started it. I'm sorry, Simon.", JJ apologised.

"It's okay. It hurt, but it's okay. We can work through it. I'm sorry for telling u that I-"
"Oh, please. I would too.", JJ cut him off, laughing.
Simon smiled. He had missed hearing that laugh.

"What made you come here?", Simon asked.
"Your friend, Talia?", JJ replied, a look of trauma rushing through his eyes.

"Oh god," Simon shook his head, laughing. "What did she say?"
"She basically threatened me saying that if I didn't make it up to you, she'd kill me. She looked and sounded terrifying so I complied. Now, I'm here making it up to you.", JJ laughed.

"Well, I'm glad we're on terms now.", Simon said.
"Friends?", JJ proposed.
"Friends.", Simon said, a slight smile creeping on his face.

"I hope your friend doesn't kill me by the end of this.", JJ said, the both of them laughing.

"She won't, I'm sure.", Simon giggled.
"JJ?", Simon asked
"Yeah?"

"Who was the girl in the picture?", Simon asked. He regretted it afterwards, because they just now made up. He was afraid it'll ruin everything.

"Oh, she's my ex. It didn't work out, though. I don't know why I got with her at the party, but I did. Who's this friend?", JJ asked, referring to the girl who texted JJ, threatening him.

"Oh, that's Talia. She's my best friend.", Simon replied.
"Can I see a picture?", JJ asked.
"Yeah.", Simon said, showing him a picture of Talia.

"You two would make a great couple.", JJ teased.
"Stop. Me and her isn't ever happening.", Simon said, laughing.
"Right, okay."

JJ, out of nowhere, hugged Simon. It felt good to him.
"What's that for then?", Simon laughed.
"I'm glad we're friends again. I missed you and Deji missed you too. He was being a stuck-up prick telling me to call you 24/7.", JJ laughed.

"Should we just- leave our past behind us and stay friends?", Simon offered.
"Sure, Simon.", JJ smiled.
