It's been years since the bet took place. The drama that had happened will never be forgotten. JJ and Simon we're still close, they were best friends. Their feelings for each other have faded away.

"Do I look good? I don't know.", JJ asked, twirling around in front of the mirror, checking himself out.
"You look great, JJ. Don't second guess your choice! I promise. she'll love it.", Simon encouraged.

"Thank you, Simon. I don't know what I would've done without you.", JJ said, hopping over to Simon. He gave him a long, warm hug. Something that hasn't happened in ages.

"Of course, Jide!", Simon hugged him back. These hugs made him think of those years of their friendship. They would've almost dated. It's insane to think about.

"Do you know what Jess looks like?", JJ asked Simon.
"I do. That's why I came to help you with your attire. I mean, Talia would've told Jess what you looked like and it's supposed to be a surprise.", Simon laughed.

"True," He giggled, "I'm still quite nervous, though.", JJ rubbed his arm up and down.
"I get it, you're about to get married. It's a big deal. But you got this. Jess is the love of your life! And you're hers. This is gonna be great for you.", Simon spoke, encouraging JJ.

"I love you, bro.", JJ said, smiling.
"Love you too, Jide. See you within an hour for the wedding!", Simon hugged JJ and left the house.

_____________

Talia and Simon both entered the car.
"Oh my god, I can't believe it! My closest friends are getting married!", Talia squealed.
"I know, it's insane.", Simon said, gripping onto the steering wheel.

"This is gonna be such a nice moment!", Talia said, looking at Simon.
"Don't get any ideas.", Simon joked, the both of them laughing.

"Aren't you upset?", Talia asked.
"Huh- why would I be upset?", Simon laughed.
"I mean, you once cried to me about him. You loved him. And now you'll see him get married in front row. I know I'd be upset, even if I didn't like him anymore.", Talia spoke.

"I'm happy for JJ. Plus, I've got you now. You make me just as happy. JJ and I left that behind us. It's over and that's okay. I'm happy to see my best mate get married to the love of his life.", He said, smiling at nothing in particular.

"Wow. I mean I really thought you'd be upset.", Talia said.
"I'm not."

———

There he was, waiting for his bride to enter the room. Simon smiled at him in adoration. He saw that he was nervous, but also very happy. JJ shot a smile back before turning, seeing his bride enter the room.

Holding onto her dad, she walks into the room, towards JJ.
She was smiling like crazy.

Simon looked around in the room. Freya and Josh were behind Simon and Talia. Ethan was sitting next to Harry, Vik beside Harry. Tobi was next to Simon on the other side. At the back, Jess and JJ's family were seated. The biggest smile plastered on their faces.

They were now both at the front of the room. The marriage officiant was doing most of the talking.
JJ and Jess looked at each other, they looked so in love.

Simon couldn't help but crack a little frown. JJ still had a special place in his heart. And knowing that it could've been him up there, was still upsetting. It hurt him at first, that they had decided to be friends. Now, it was clearly for the best.
Simon was mostly proud of his friend.

They were now doing the vowels. JJ couldn't stop smiling, neither could Jess. They're perfect together.
They love each other way more than they love anything else.
"You may kiss the bride."

It's good to see him happy.
They're both happy now.
