Jisung eventually got in front of the building and stopped for a second to catch his breath. Was he seriously going to do this? What was he going to say? Could he actually convince two grownup adults? He was nervous but then he remembered who he was doing all of this for.
He stepped into the house wich was open and went into the kitchen.
There, Minho's mother was going up and down the room nervously and his father was sitting on the couch also with a concerned look.
"Ehm excuse me..", Jisung cleared his throat.
"Oh Minho you're here we were so concern-", the woman began to walk to the door but then stopped when she saw Jisung standing there. In that moment her son walked in completely out of breath.
"Puh damn you're fast.", Minho said between breaths while he leaned on Jisung's shoulder to catch his breath. He then looked up and realised where he was: "Oh damn, we should leave.", he grabbed Jisung's arm and pulled him towards the door.
"No, stay!", his mother shouted and motioned with her arms to stay.
"We need to talk. Sit down...please."Minho was taken aback. That's a word he hasn't heard coming out of her mouth for years. So they followed her.
Jisung took Minho's hand and didn't let it go over the whole talk. They were sitting next to each other in front of the adults.
"So, we are aware of our actions and we acknowledge that what we said may have been wrong and that's why we're..." the mother stopped and looked at her husband "we're...s-"
"Save it! If it's that hard to pronounce then just don't say it. I also have something to announce. I decided that I'm going to wo-"
"No! I'm sorry Minho but I can't let you do this!", Jisung interrupted his friend "Mr. and Mrs. Lee, hyung, I think I thought of a compromise between the three of you!", he stood up from his chair.
what the hell am I doing right now"What?", they all said in choir.
"Mr. and Mrs. Lee, you both want that your son takes over your business with the café but you got to understand that you can't make him and and lock him on this island. He's a human-being who has dreams and goals that he wants to achieve.
Minho, you want to move to Korea and create a life by your own but you've also never understood the concerns of your parents. You've got to admit that it is pretty scary out there, it may be hard for you to move to a whole different country by your own when you don't have enough experience.Well, what if you stay here and run the business for let's say three years, get some life- and adult-experience and learn how to take care of yourself. Maybe this thing will turn out to be something you like. But if it isn't and the three years are over, you Mr. and Mrs. Lee have to let him go live his life how he wants it to. Like that, you don't have to be that concerned because you'll see that he's going to do his job right and he'll be a good and grownup adult.
You don't need to answer right away, think about it but I think it's a good offer. Both sides have to lose something but both also win.", Jisung ended his speach and sat down again.
Everyone was sitting in silence and thinking. The rapper could only hope that they would like the idea. He actually thought of it at the moment he started to speak. But after a few sentences it started to make sense and he liked the idea. He just hoped that Minho didn't hate him completely because if he accepted he had to work for his parents for 3 years, but Ji thought that they wouldn't just let him go without even trying.
Jisung glanced at Minho every five seconds to see if he could read his thoughts out of his face but he couldn't. The older was frowning while thinking, he didn't look once at Jisung. So he thought. But Ji thought that he could see a glance of hope in his friend's eyes again, wich gave him a warm feeling.
"Okay so," the father began "I got to admit boy, you are right with the things you said.", he sighed "We can't just lock you up,", he now looked at his son who was also looking at him "but we at least want you to try. I like the deal and I would accept it if you do too."
Minho looked at Jisung with a shocked face. He then started to smile immediately.
"Haha of course I'm accepting it!", he chuckled happily "Otherwise you wouldn't let me go.", he laughed now with a light heart.
"I will work as the head of the company for three years and if I don't like it you are letting me go to move to Korea and finally live out my dream!""Yes but only if you seriously give this job a chance and we see that you are independent enough to take care of yourself.", the man added.
"I won't disappoint you!"
"Then we are done here.", his father smiled for the first time.
Minho ran out of his house full of joy, Jisung following him also smiling.
"Yes!", Minho jumped up with raised arms.
"Thank you Jisungie, you just seriously saved my life! I will never forget this.", he went to his friend and looked him in the eyes."Pff that was nothing.", Ji laughed.
"I can't believe this, 3 years and I'm free! Thank you so much!", the older hugged his friend tight.
"I-", he hesitated "I love you!".Jisung's heart was beating now faster than it was before. "I love you too hyung!", he then smiled even brighter while hugging back.
