everything hurts. fucking orphanage mattresses. always uncomfortable.

hi, i'm juliet perry. fan of rock music, writing, and comic books. and i've been stuck in this orphanage since i was 9. my mom died when i was 7, and then it was just me and my dad. then, when i was 9, my dad killed himself. at the time, i was too young to understand that so i was told he died in a car accident. some lie. since i was so young, i had no choice but to live in an orphanage on the outskirts of los angeles. i'm 16 now, so i've been in here for far too long.

i get out of bed and stretch. fuck, mondays. don't you just love them? notice the sarcasm. i wake up my roommate, who happens to be my only friend at this place and school. "olivia! wake up!" i scream in her ear, knowing she's a heavy sleeper. that screaming barely even woke her. "ok yeah i'm up dude!" she screams back just as loud. "good morning sunshine!" i say in a mary poppins style voice. i skip breakfast, like always, and get dressed. i wear a beartooth shirt with my black skinnies and red converse. i put my hair up due to the fact i'm a lazy little shit and i don't want to bother doing anything with it. olivia's ready way before me, which is rare. she's dressed in a mindless self indulgence jumper with black skinnies just like mine. she also wears converse, but one red and one black, in pure love of harley quinn. her hair is in pigtails lynz way style. since we have a bus to catch, we decide to leave soon. we manage to avoid everyone at the orphanage before leaving cause fuck them.

we stop at where the bus picks us up, and within a matter of minutes it's there. olivia's been going to this school since she was a freshman, but i started only a few months ago, being a sophomore. the bus pulls to a stop and the doors swing open. we climb on, getting judgmental stares in return. typical. i avoid all the outstretched legs meaning to trip me, and make my way to the very back where i always sit. olivia has to stay in the front, because she gets into trouble in the back. long story short, one day she was hanging out of the window flipping people off. at the next stop, an unfamiliar, but very good looking face comes on to the bus. he has brown hair, a septum piercing, and is wearing a blink-182 tee with black jeans and vans. i like him already. he makes his way to the back where i'm sitting. "do you mind if i sit here?" he asks in a deep voice, motioning next to me. "no, go ahead." i say, shaking my head. he nods as if saying thanks. "i like your shirt. i'm kevin, by the way." he says. "thanks. i like yours too. i'm juliet. nice to meet you." i say, smiling sweetly. he gives me a lopsided smile, making me have butterflies in my stomach. well this is gonna be an interesting relationship.
