part 11: a crush on Camilo

It's been a week since the prank and Camilo is still apologizing to it, every day.

"Y/n, i know i said it already, but I'm so sorry." He said after breakfast.

"Camilo, I've said it already! It's fine." You said with a little laugh.

"Don't laugh! I'm serious, i shouldn't have done it."

"I know Camilo and i forgive you."

"But still...."

"I swear, Camilo, if i hear you apologizing for it one more time I'm going to kill you myself."

He lets out a chuckle. "Alright." He gives you a kiss on the cheek and leaves.

Ever since the prank he found a new way to show affection, platonic of course. He would kiss you on the cheek everytime he needed to leave.

You head to town to get some fruits. There you see Émile nervously standing by the bakery. You haven't seen him for the past week. You even began to think he left.

"Hey, Émile! How are you?"

"Oh, hey y/n. I'm fine, how are you?"

"I'm good. Are you sure you're fine? You seem nervous." You ask concerned.

"I think i remember." He mumbles.

"What do you remember?"

"What i told my parents."

"Really? What is it?"

"I'll tell you later today. Meet me at our sleepover spot, after lunch." He says and he walks off.

Weird, you think. Why won't he just tell you now? Maybe he just doesn't know how to word it to you yet. His parents abandoned him for it, he must me scared.

You head back to Casita just in time for lunch. You eat lunch and help clean up after, as you always do. You look for Pepa, there has been much on your mind lately and you just needed to ask. You see her leaving her room and you go towards her.

"Pepa, can i ask you something?" You ask a bit nervously.

"Of course y/n! What is it?"

"Have you heard from my dad? It's been 2 weeks.."

Pepa just stays silent for a moment band thinks. You thought you saw a little storm cloud forming above her head, but it disappears really quickly.

"Yes, i have, he just needs a little more time and will be on his way here in a few days."

You feel better, it's good to know he's coming soon. "Okay thank you, Pepa."

"No problem, y/n." She says with a little smile.

You give her a big smile and walk off.

You head outside, to meet Émile. You're really wondering what it was, it must be something bad right? Why else would a parent abandon their child, just like that. No, you need to stop thinking like that, he's your friend.

You meet him and he looks really nervous.

You grab his hand to make him feel secure and he starts talking.

"Before i say anything, promise you won't think badly of me."

"I promise, you can't tell me."

He lets out a big sigh. " I, um, i like boys." He says while closing his eyes.

"Oh." You say.

"Oh?" He repeats while opening his eyes.

"Oh, well it was pretty obvious.."
