DAN'S P.O.V

"Wait. What?" I asked.

"I'm sorry if I sound really, really bipolar, but you're my best friend so I will forgive you. Just, give me some time Dan. I just need to think." She said.

"Ok. As long as we're good."

"Thanks, Dan."

"Yeah." I said and turned around to go downstairs.

Why? One word. One question. Why? I just don't understand. I can't think straight. I need to go for a run.

I walked out the front door and ran to the start of the woods. I shifted and ran straight into the woods to run the perimeter of soon-to-be my territory.

Once I got back from running, I went into my room to call Alex to see where he is.

The phone rang 2 times before he answered.

"Hello?" He asked.

"Hey, Alex. What's up?"

"Oh. Dan. Hey. Um nothing much, just out getting some food." He said.

"When are you coming back?" I asked

"I'm in the drive-thru at McDonald's and I just got handed my food so maybe in 5-10 minutes. Why?"

"I need someone to talk to, me and Kass got into a fight."

"Oh. Wow. Okay, I will be there soon." He said in disbelief before hanging up the phone.

Me and Kassidy have never fought. I mean never, and we have know each other for almost 17 years. This is a big deal. Even if she has already forgiven me.

5 minutes later, Alex runs into my room, jumps on my bed next to me and hands me a pint of the mixed sherbert ice cream. My favorite! He knows how to make me feel better. Oh my gosh I sound like a girl.

" Thanks Alexander. " I said.

" Ew... You know that is not my name and that I hate that name, Daniel."

" Hey, that doesn't bug me as much as it bugs you. I happen to like my name. Why does that bug you anyway?"

"I don't know, it sounds weird... I just don't like it and it isn't even my name. Read my birth certificate, it says Alex Nicholas Mathon. " He stated.

"Mhm... is that so? I'm going to go get it out of the records to check." I said running to my office. I'm almost Alpha so I have access to all the records and reports and stuff.

"Let's see... Martin, Massey, Mason, Masset, Blah, Blah, Blah, here we are. Mathon, A. Let's go to the birth certificate of young Alexander."

"Stop."

"Born July 15th."

"Dude."

"Full name is..."

"Dan."

"Ale-"

"Daniel."

"Alexis Nicholas Mathon. Ha! Wait. What? Your name-"

" Is Alexis. Oh my gosh. If you tell anyone I swear, I will chop your balls off."

"Dude! You have a girls name!" Bad idea. Alex pounced on me and growled in my face. What is up with these people and pouncing on me?

"Da-" Kassidy walked in to my office and was cut off by her own growling when she saw Alex on top of me. Alex turned around to see her and slowly got off of me. Once she realized that she was growling, she stopped and covered her mouth. "I have no idea why I did that."

"All I know is that I'm not climbing on top of Dan anytime you're around." Alex stated.

"Ok... Oh! Hey Kass, guess what Alex's reall nam-" I started before getting cut off.

"Dude. Do you want to have pups?"

"Very much, yes."

"Then I suggest you don't say a word."

"Sorry."

"Wait. What is this all about and why would he not be able to have pups?"

"Don't worry about it Kass. You just go on with your life and don't ask me or him questions. I can cut your mates balls off too." Alex said while walking out of my office.

"Huh?"

"Don't ask. I want pups." I said.

"Okay... anyways, I'm sorry for being a bitch. My wolf is going crazy because we are going to find our mate tomorrow. We both still think they will reject us."

"Don't think that Kass, I told you. Anyone would be lucky to have you."

" What if my mate is your brother?"

"Yeah, I thought about that. It's okay, he wouldn't reject you. If he hurts you though, you can tell me and I will whoop his butt for you. Okay?"

"Alright, thanks Dan."
