Even though they were both exhausted and slumber was heaving their eyelids, she was still kneeling behind him, delicate fingers brushing through his silky black hair, gently tugging here and there while braiding a few strands and then releasing them again. All of it just because she started nonchalantly doing it but once she was about to stop, he grabbed her by the wrist in a silent request for her to continue.
She thought the way he wordlessly expressed himself was... Somewhat adorable. He was already a full grown man and he couldn't even admit out loud how he liked her to touch his hair.
She was just about to murmur a comment about it when the faint noise of a quiet snore left her speechless, biting hard onto her lower lip for the sake of not waking him up. Was he seriously asleep while sitting up ? Should she try and lay him down ? She doubted his broad shoulders would fall like a feather, it would be more like a boulder.
Upon reaching a concensus with herself, (y/n) decided to rub slow circles on his back while murmuring on his ear to lay down (after moving away for him to do so).
It worked like a magic trick but just when she thought she somehow hypnotized him into moving while asleep, one of his arms reached for her, curling around her waist and ungracefully bringing her down as well and against his chest.
Well, that was unexpected but gladly welcomed.
The warmth emanating from his chest made her want to crawl beneath his t-shirt and sleep there but the opted out of that option. Who could blame her ? Her ear was exactly placed on top of his heart, causing his rhythmic beating to lull her to sleep.
