Prologue

Hi guys this my very first story EVER. So I know it's not going to be the best but I hope it's good enough.

"Mom it hurts so much!!", Nafrini yelped as another contraction hit her.

"I know baby, I know.", Nafrini's mother, Sarafina whispered, "Wait where's Rafiki? Rafiki! Get your stupid ass in here! Come and help YOUR mate give birth to YOUR DAUGHTER!"

"Mommy!" Nafrini cried. In that moment the door swung open and Rafiki bounded into the room towards is crying mate. He felt absolutely horrible. Because of him, the love of his life was in pain and he didn't know what to do.

"Nafrini I'm so sorry for causing you so much pain, I'm so sorry I'm so sorry baby plea-"

"Your such a moron stop saying your sorry and I know you love me okay? We're having baby TOGETHER. You understand? So stop bei- Oh SHIT OW OW OW.. " Nafrini interrupted. But as she started to calm down from the last contraction she started to feel the urge to push.

"It's alright sweetheart. It's time for you to push", a warm voice breathed. When Nafrini looked towards the voice she saw it was Isis, the Egyptian goddess of sexuality and her husband Osiris, the Egyptian god of the underworld, but more importantly, they are her family, her beloved ancestors. She smiled up at both of them and took hold of the hand Isis offered her. Isis gave her a reassuring smile and said.

"Ok honey, this is going to hurt but Rafiki is here and so are we", Isis grinned and was about to say something else when the strong salty scent of the sea enveloped the room. She looked behind her to see Poseidon, the Greek god of the sea standing behind Rafiki a reassuring hug.

Isis has always noticed the strong similarities between the two. Both were over six feet tall and built like mountains with the same light grey eyes sparkling with mischief, dark caramel skin, and smooth hair as black as night. Their daughter is going to be absolutely beautiful, and powerful, Isis thought to herself as she looked back to Nafrini and took in her almost neon green eyes, light auburn curls and soft caramel skin.Her thoughts were interrupted when Nafrini let out another yelp of pain.

"Okay Nafrini you have to push",Isis said to Nafrini. She nodded slowly and started to push as another contraction spread through her lower back. She continued to push until she felt a sudden rush of relief and a soft crying sound came from in front of her. Isis carefully lifted the small child and whispered.

"It's a girl", the baby had the most beautiful face any of them had ever seen. She had full bow shaped lips, and big chubby cheeks. Her hair was auburn just like her mother's. Isis walked over to Rafiki and Nafrini and gently placed their daughter in Nafrini's waiting arms.

"She-she's so beautiful.." Rafiki whispered as he stared down at his daughter's perfect face, even though her eyes were still closed he ran his finger over her cheek and down to her hand. The second his finger was in her tiny palm she wrapped her tiny fingers around his much larger one. He smiled down at her and wondered what he and Nafrini were going to name her. Lucky for him Nafrini had been reading his mind and knew the perfect name for their daughter.

"So Nafrini, Rafiki, what do you plan on naming your daughter?", asked Rafiki's younger sister, Areti.

Rafiki and Nafrini looked at each other for a short moment and smiled when they agreed through their mind link.

"Her name is.." Rafiki started.

"Kebi Demetra", Nafrini finished, and in that second is when baby Kebi decided to open her eyes for the very first time. Her eyes flicked between her parents as everyone stared at her in disbelief. Rafiki and Nafrini could not have been happier the second they saw their daughter's magnificent eyes. Both of Kebi's parents smiled down at her and in response she smiled back and her eyes seemed to brighten even more. Nafrini could not believe that her daughter had one almost neon green eye, like herself. And a light grey eyes just like Rafiki. Because for people like them, having two different colored eyes..was a very special thing...
