Chapter 4: The Attack

Three days had passed since Ultra let the Darkness take over and Shade caused havoc and chaos everywhere until Void told her that she was to attack the Rainbow Kingdom that night,

"By myself?" Shade asked and Void nodded

"You're ready. I believe in you, Shade." He told her and that night she was at the Rainbow Kingdom, she rolled her eyes

'He told me to check around, but I wanna fight.' She thought, summoning her scythe she ran toward the closest guard and knocked him out quite fast, her dark colors helped her blend in with the dark shadows of the stone bricks as she slipped past the gate, she was, however, soon surrounded by guards

"You thought it would be that easy?" Someone asked, he walked into view, he was a light-colored Steve

"And who are you?" Shade hissed at him and the light figure smirked

"Name's Light Steve." He said, "And you are?" Light Steve asked, Shade growled

"Shade." She answered after some time, the guards were ready to attack, they had no weapons however, Shade's eyes dashed around, she was looking for an escape route.

"Don't even think of escaping. Guards-" He was cut off by another voice

"P-Please...." the voice said "I-It hurts...." Light looked around, the voice was coming from Shade....but it wasn't Shade speaking, Light shook his head

"Guards, take Shade to the interrogation room..." He said and walked off, the guards escorted Shade to the interrogation room and Shade sat down, a Red Steve walked in, it was the Red leader, M, he sat down across from Shade,

"So....You're the one who tried to attack?" He asked and Shade growled, her being Ultra's shadow, her mind comprehended M as the village leader, Luther, Shade laughed

"Well~! If it isn't the leader! Luther, don't you have a village to run? Or is your apprentice running it for you?" Shade asked, M blinked in confusion

"My name is M. Not Luther." He said

"Awww~ it would have been funny if you were Luther!" Shade said, "But yes, and I would have succeeded if you didn't have this many guards!" She hissed, before M could speak again the Voice spoke once more,

"H-Help....It h-hurts....." It said and Shade held her head

"GHA! Shut it!" She hissed, M blinked

"Bring her to the machine." He told the guard, the guard nodded

"Right away, M," He said, grabbing Shade the guard led her to the machine and tossed her in; activating it, Shade's eyes turned white and M blinked

"Get the others." He told the guard

"Already here, M," The Green leader said, walking in with the others, along with FavreMySabre, or just, Sabre.

"Who is this?" Sabre asked

"Claims her name is Shade." Light spoke, "But her eyes were black last I saw her." Light said, his brows furrowed in confusion, Shade's mouth opened

"H-Hello?" She said

"What?" the Yellow leader gasped

"She shouldn't be able to speak," Sabre said the Blue leader stepped forward,

"What is your name?" He asked

"Blue, I already said it's Sh-" Shade cut Light off

"U-UltraChaosSteve," She said "W-Where am I? I can't see anything!" Ultra cried

"M, can Professor Red modify the machine to force UltraChaosSteve here into control?" The Violet Leader asked and M nodded

"I believe so. But if we want to speak with her as he is doing it, we'll need to keep Shade locked in." M said. He modified the wiring so Shade would stay locked in

"UltraChaosSteve. You are in the Rainbow Kingdom. I have reasons to believe you were infected with the Darkness." The Yellow leader said as M left to get Professor Red, after some time the two Red Steve's come back

"Who just walked in? I-I feel the presence of two more Steve's!" Ultra said

"It's just M and Professor Red." The Green leader said as Professor Red set to work on the machine,

"O-Okay..." Ultra said, calming down

"So...Ultra..." Sabre said, "It's fine if I call you that, right?" He asked

"Y-Yeah....Everyone does." Ultra said and Sabre nodded

"Right, so Ultra, do you know who infected you with the Darkness?" Sabre asked and Ultra stayed silent for a while before saying

"N-Nightmare Steve....An old enemy of mine," she told them, although the fact that Nightmare Steve infected her was a lie, she felt as if it was the right thing to do, after Professor Red finished the Machine, Ultra was forced back in control of her body and let out of the machine, she looked around and smiled

"It's good to see again." She said, turning to the leaders "I-I must return to my village." She said she had her cloak on

"I'll escort you to the gate." M told her and she followed him to the gate "Can you find your way from here?" M asked her and Ultra nodded and ran off East, a few days later she was back at the village, Luther was at the gate awaiting her arrival

"Ultra!" the Red village leader called, seeing her

"Hey, Luther!" She said walking up, she looked around "I found so much new stuff, new places as well!" She told him, she told him of her travels, leaving out anything about Void and the Darkness.
