~PRINCIPAL'S POV~

"Are you Jeon Jungkook?" A doctor goes by the name of Mr. Kim questioned me as I walked into the hospital, towards the receptionist's table, and asked for Y/N. The lady had told me to wait as she had asked a doctor who was in charge of Y/N's health to come and talk to me.

"No," I replied. "I'm Y/N's biological dad. I'll be taking over instead of Jungkook for now," Mr. Kim nodded at me before tilting his head to gesture me to follow him. He lead me towards the elevator in which brought us to the second floor and as we walk out, I heard a few cries and moans and I got nervous as I hope it didn't come from my dear, Y/N.

"Don't worry, your daughter is asleep," The doctor reassure me, noticing my worried gaze as he continue guiding me through the hallways of plain-looking doors. Doctors and nurses walked by us, bowing respectfully at Mr. Kim. A low-volume radio was heard above us but I didn't really listen in to the music as I was tense.

"We're here," We stopped in front of another plain-looking door, but this time it had shown a big VIP sign, along with the room number, 01. I was surprised that she was getting treated in a VIP room and pass a look at the doctor.

"Before she was in a normal room but Jungkook had called us to place her into a VIP room to ensure her safety. He had also given us a huge sum of extra money as he wanted us to treat her with attention and carefulness," He elucidated and I fixed my tie, wondering why he didn't tell me about it.

That boy... how much does Y/N mean to him? He never tells me anything...

"Alright," I nodded and the door was slid open and I walked in. The room was dominated by a large bed, a bedside table, two comfortable chairs, and also a table between. There was also a television attached to the wall but it was turned off and I passed a look over at the bed, my fist clenching.

Y/N doesn't exactly look like she was in a bad condition. Her face was pale, including her lips but she wasn't attached to a ventilator which I find surprising. She was dressed in a cotton hospital gown that had blue and white strips.

"Give me a brief explanation of what you did to her," I asked the doctor, as I couldn't keep my eyes off her. She looks exactly like Carla, her mother who was my first love.

"Firstly we did an X-RAY scan which demonstrates where the bullet is," The doctor started, tapping on a clipboard while staring at a paper. "We've given her contrast liquid to help her organs or blood vessels to show up better in the pictures and we also did a quick check whether she had anything metal on her as metal can cause serious injury."

"Alright..." I simply murmured, looking up and realise several fresh flowers were piled up on the sofa and tables, with letters attached to them. There were also small gifts which made me happy. A small smile crept up onto my face as I realise my students had listened to my advice, giving her gifts and get-well cards.

My gaze drifted over to Y/N and I nod at the doctor to continue. "We also did a blood and urine test which had given us information about her overall condition. Just like I've told your son over the phone, she had blood poisoning."

How were they able to do a blood and urine test? Does that mean she was conscious before?

"Endoscopy was also used which is a procedure that shows damage to her oesophagus, stomach, or small intestines," He continued. "Small damages can also be repaired during the procedure."

I nodded, and the more I stare at Y/N, something in me started bugging. I realise I regretted my actions of leaving her when she was younger just to achieve my dreams. It was selfish of me, I admit... maybe it was karma when the murderers came? I find it sad how I didn't get to see her grow and sighed.

"Um, sir?" Mr. Kim interrupted me from my thoughts and I shake my head and smile.

"Sorry, I was in deep thought, you may continue."

"Alright, so IV fluids were also given to prevent dehydration and also increase the blood flow to major organs." He replied and I nodded, listening intently. Even though I didn't really get half the things he was telling me, I just hope it was a good result.

"During the surgery and treatment, we have given her medicines to treat pain and prevent infection. She was also given a tetanus shot," The doctor paused and blinked at the document and I glanced at him, praying it wasn't bad news. "From her gunshot wound, she was bleeding heavily so we gave her a blood transfusion."

"Blood transfusion? Did someone transfer blood-"

"No, her blood type was common and we had spares," The doctor smiled reassuringly. "Additionally, the surgery had repaired damage to her organs and blood vessels. It also clean her gunshot wound and we also remove the bullet. We wrapped it up with stitches and staples but had left it open for a while to allow swelling to decrease and tissues to heal." He elucidated and closes the clipboard with one snap and I chew my lip.

He hasn't given the answer I wanted...

"So, you did a surgery on her... and also a treatment," I murmured and Mr. Kim nodded. "What's the results?" I asked him and he slowly looks away as though the news were bad.

I wrinkled my nose nervously, as I stared intently at the doctor, praying that he'll only give me good news.

The doctor pass a small smile and it seems forced, as though he was nervous to tell me the result. I didn't like how tense I was feeling so I nodded once again, telling the doctor to say something. He finally opens his mouth and told me the words I wanted to hear.

"The results are successful. She's going to live."
