Chapter 1

" Hi, mom! " I said as walked in the house.

" Hello, Kikyo! How was work? " She asked.

" Complicated as always. " I told her as I sat down at the table.

" You never told me. What exactly do you do anyway? " She asked.

I nervously chuckled. " Something small, mom. It's enough to get my bills paid. "

" Aw, I remember when you was 17.... Now you 25 and all grown up. " she teared.

I rolled my eyes.

" Reporting news! A girl with long black hair and emerald green eyes has stopped a robbery once again. Super fast and unable to tell who she is. We thank her. For a reward we gave her 500,000 dollars to thank her for all she has done. " the woman in the t.v said.

My mom scoffed and turned off the T.V.

" I was watching that! " I pouted.

" Too much T.V can rot your brain. What kind of mother would I be to let my child run around the city. " she sighed.

" A good mom! That girl is saving people and stuff. I think you should be thankful. " I said as I crossed my arms.

" Thankful for what? At least it's not my daughter. " she smiled.

My mouth dropped.

" Assume that it was me. I have long black hair and stops right at the end of my back. " I told her.

" You don't have green eyes though. " She told me.

" What if I do? What if I have magical powers or I'm from another planet. " I told her.

She sightly frowned.

" You are not special. You are a normal woman who is.... normal. So quick acting stupid. " she calmly said.

" How do you even know? You don't even know my birth parents. You don't even know me, mom. You and dad have been acting so secretive these past seven years. It's like I don't even know you two anymore. I feel like I've lost my memories. " I told her.

Her eyes widened and softly sighed.

" I can't take this anymore. "

" What anymore? " I asked her.

She opened her eyes but she was interrupted by my phone.

It was text message of another robbery.

" Work is calling.... " I told her.

" See you tomorrow. " She said.

" Tell dad I said hey. " I said softly as went to the door.

I closed the the door behind me and then I smiled.

I walked slow but end up running.

I started putting my hair in rubber band. I let my side bang hang down my face. I placed a mask on my fast and changed my eyes.

I jumped up and closed my eyes and disappeared. I reappeared at were the robbery was taking place.

I went to the police.

" Is everything okay? " I asked.

The police shook his head.

" No, it's not. We have people trapped in there and the robbers have guns. " he told me.

I sighed softly.

" Alrighty! Let me work my magic. " I told him.

I tried to disappear but I got distracted by two people in colorful costumes.
