9.THE DEPTH

The nuptial night , Rani Nandhini's chamber

Hiranya was excited for their nuptial night. For him it's years of longing to be in his Mandhagini's embrace. Years back when he was young he fell for Mandhagini and vice versa. But After the turn of events, the enmity grew between the kingdoms, the snake which was ready to spit venom between them, blah blah blah... More enemies for them isn't it?

  Though he was extremely excited to pour his emotions over her he was not ready to make her feel used. He was high in love with her since childhood but does he know what's running in her mind, does she love him the way he love her? These questions are overwhelming his brain than the excitement.

"Aval en mandhagini yagave valarndhala ? Illai ennai edhiri naattu mannanaga parppala? "

This was the exact question eating his brain since he saw her dull face while he tie the knot.

(Did she grew as my mandhagini? Or Is she seeing me as the enemy king?)

His train of thoughts were broken by his brothers in law entry. Every brotherof mandhagini assembled there and hugged Hiranya and warned him on their own way

Karthikeyan: (hugged  Hiranya and whispered) orey chella thagai aval emakku Arase aval siram thazhndhal thangal siram thazha siram irukkadhu. ( parted from the hug and smiled sweetly)

Hiranya slightly gulped and reciprocated his smile. Then rakshagan hugged him whispered a warning.

Rakshagan:Aval thangam aaval adhil siru keeral vilundhalum thangal uyir minjadhu manna.
( smiled and parted from the hug)

(King she is gold. If you make a small scratch over it your life will be gone)

Hiranya smiled hesitant ly and hugged pughazhenthi. He hugged him and whispered

Pughazhenthi: Manna tham em thangayin manalan anal aval em thangai avar kangalil neer kasindhal thangal udalil irundhu iratham kasiyum.
(Smiled and parted with a warning look on his eyes)

(King , You've married to my sister . If a drop leaks my sisters eyes blood leaks from your body)

Balendran :(hugged hiranya and warned in his ears) Arase em thangai kundhalil oru mudi kuraindhalum naan thangal siram koyya neridum. Parthirungal Arase....

( My king, If a hair loses from my sister's , Your head tossed on the ground. Soooo be careful.)
 

Then every brother of her  warns him. He gulps at their warning and smiles contently at their protective side towards her. But he never knew what he is gonna face that night.

Mandhagini's chamber, the nupital night,

Mandhagini was dancing rudra thandavam in front of nadarajar statue verging in a huge rage as she was married to the enemy king who was once her childhood love and the only love . But the love was covered with a cloth of revenge. The revenge for her father's insult.

She was venting her anger on her dance as her foot started to bleed but her eyes was bloodshot and her breath was raging. Her dance was still on and that was the sight seen by Hiranya when he entered her chamber.

His heart broke into pieces. A shattered Hiranya went toward into her chamber and locked the door behind . When Mandhagini yelled a warning made him stop in his tracks.

Mandhagini: Tham veeral emmai Teenda nerittalum en vaal tham sirasedhirey vara neridum.

(Even your finger touches me my sword will be on your head)

The depth of her anger for him shaked his depth of love for her.
The depth of revenge on her eyes killed him alive. But still he is drowning in the depth of love in her. The depth of her words made him drown in depth of guilt. He smiled at her and holded her wrists to stop her from dancing. When his touch reached her senses she started to wiggle and scold him. But he maintained a straight face and aided her wounded foot. He smiled at her and left the chamber.
