4. Sadness

Mal pov:
So those five had just left and we were back at the lodge.
"Where are the others?" asked Alex and I looked towards the forest.
"The other six are at the vamp den."
"What?!" said Skye's father, startled.
"But they'll be back in a minute, right?" Zoey softly.
"Sure! Our brothers are amazing!" said Cj laughing.
Zoey didn't seem really convinced and she walked towards her room.
"Zoey, wait!" and Cj ran after Zoey.
I sighed.
I didn't like the idea that Harry was there either.
All those vamps and then there are 6 humans. Just great...
Please let them be safe...
"Mal?" said Evie and I looked at her in amazement.
"What's up?"
"You're worried. Aren't you?"
"Of course she is! Her boyfriend is in the devil's base!" said Uma enviously.
I looked towards the forest and sighed.
"I'm in my room."

So now five people went to the daughter of Satan... Fantastic...
Hopefully they'll be back soon...

Zed pov:
I looked at Skye in amazement.
"Are you coming?"
She remained silent and I turned completely towards her.
"Skye, what's up?"
"I can't get out of here."
"What do you mean?" Sean asked in amazement.
"Then I'd burn to death."
"What? That's nonsense!" Kaylee said while chuckling and I looked at Skye.
"What do you mean?"
"I'm one of them."
"Just because you look like them doesn't mean you're one of them, Skye." I said, and Skye sighed.
When she looked at us again, her eyes were red and she had canines that seemed pretty scary.
"Yep, she's one of them." Wynter said.
"So you're not going back with me- us?" asked Kaylee.
"Are you serious? All this. All this that happened. For nothing. For nothing at all?!" said Harry angrily.
"I-"
"Really Skye, are you serious?!" said Sean enviously.
Kaylee shook her head and those three walked away.
"Guys..." Skye muttered.
Wynter also walked away and Skye looked at me.
"Zed...?"
"You caused this yourself Skye..." I said with pain in my heart and I too walked away.
"Guys...!"
Skye wanted to come after us but I saw that she burned her hand and ran back into the vamp den.
'I'm so sorry Skye...' I thought

Back at the lodge, the others looked at us in amazement.
"Say one thing and I'll shove my hook down your throat!" said Harry pissed.
"I thought you were going to help Skye but you all have a new look.", Gil said stupidly and Harry walked away in anger.
His sister went after him.
Addison and Zoey walked up to me.
"What happened?" asked Addison.
"It's a long story..."

I walked to my room and Zoey followed me.
"Zed,what's going on?"
"Skye is not coming back for the time being."
"Why?"
"Can't you just hang out with Cj?"
"No, Harry doesn't want her to come near me..."
"Wha- Oh brains..." I muttered enviously.
"Yes it's a bummer... Cj is nice."
I looked at my sister in amazement.
"I mean nice as a friend. A normal girlfriend. Not as a girlfriend or anything... I... ehh..."
I sat down on my crouch in front of Zoey.
"You like Cj. Don't you?"
"But isn't it weird when two girls like each other?"
"No, of course not. That is quite normal. There are girls who like girls. And there are guys who like guys. And people they both like."
"Really?"
"Yes, it's okay."
Zoey hugged me, I lost my ballans and we fell to the ground.
We laughed and Zoey ran off again.
I sighed.
Was it a right response to Skye?

Skye pov:
So Serina helped me with my burned hand and that night I went into the woods.
I felt so shitty.
My friends hated me now and I'm stuck here...
"If i could do it all over, baby I'd do it different. Mabey I wouldn't be here, in this position. I found you, then I lost you. Looking back is torture. And it hurts to know I'd let you go. You live right around the cornor..."

"Beautiful voice."
I was startled and looked up.
"Zoey? What are you doing here? It's almost midnight!"
"I couldn't sleep and heard you sing."
"Oh, I didn't wake you up, did I?"
"No! I couldn't sleep all the time..."
"Me neither..."
"Why couldn't you sleep?"
"Because my whole life has changed in the last few hours. You?"
"Cj."
I looked at her in amazement.
"What do you mean?"
"I like Cj. Like-like."
"That's so cute."
"But her brother, since they came back, doesn't want Cj to hang out with me."
"Why is that?"
"I think Cj's brother hates my brother."
"What? Why?"
"Do you ask them? Since they've been back, they've all had a black look and are so grumpy. My brother was sad even an hour ago."
"What? Why?"
"He mumbled your name and then said 'what have I done' and I think he likes you."
"Pfff... He's with Addison, isn't he?"
"But what if he likes you more than Addison?"
I remained silent for a moment.
"Come, let's bring you back to the lodge. You have to sleep tonight."

I took Zoey to her room.
"You're very good with your song."
"Thanks, Zoey. But now you really have to go to sleep."
She nodded and I wanted to run away.
But Zoey's neck looked very seductive.
Zoey seemed to be asleep and I looked towards the hallway.
