10. Breaking through

Mal pov:
Evie walked up to me when she saw the stitch.
"Hey, are you okay?"
"It's fine. I've long been glad I know it wasn't Harry himself. But that I was manipulating that trick of a Serina! She will pay for that!"
"Oh believe me. She certainly will!"
"Yes! And not so much!"
Cj looked at me.
"Did my brother really do that?" she looked at me incredulously and I sighed.
"No. Harry was not himself. Serina has him under control. I bet he would never do this himself."
Cj looked at the forest and ran to it.
"Cj! Where are you going?!" I shouted as I followed her.
"To my brother!" she shouted.
Oh no, huh... What if Harry...?

After running for a while I saw Cj.
She was already with Harry and he looked at her in amazement.
"What are you doing here?"
"Getting my brother back."
"Stop it."
"Did you really attack Mal?"
"Get lost, Cj!"
"No."
"Fine. Then we will do this your way."
Harry grabbed his sword and pushed Cj to the ground with his hook.
"No!" I screamed.
Cj looked at Harry terrified and Harry looked at me enviously.
"You again!"
"Did you seriously want to attack your own sister?"
"Don't interfere, reptile!"
"Oh come on! Serina is in your head. Kick her out and let yourself back in. You're not like this."
"And how do you know that, huh?"
"Because I know the guy I've been dating for more then years."
I looked briefly at Cj and she understood the hint.
She crawled backwards and Harry stuck his sword through her sleeve, missed her arm luckily and looked at her.
"Sneaking away? That was a wrong move!"
He lashed out with his hook but I grabbed his arm.
"Harry, listen to me!"
"Let me go!"
"No. Then do all kinds of things to me. But I won't let you hurt your own sister if you don't have control over it."
"You don't know anything about me!"
"Oh no?"
I looked straight into his eyes.
"You're Harry Hook. A great guy with a rotten childhood. You never knew your mother and you thought she was dead. Your father hated the idea of us together. Out of frustration you accidentally killed him and you still have to deal with that every day! Thanks to the fact that you taught me your song 'Favourite place to be', your mother found me and I was able to bring her back to you. You had your mother back with your two sisters with you. We've been dating for years and recently you lost your oldest sister. You have a great little sister and a friend next to you who is always willing to help you."
I looked away.
"If that's not right... Then you kill me. Then my life was a lie. Because you are my life, Harry. You are my everything."
Harry's eyes changed from angry to loving.
"Mal..."
"Yes, I..."
Cj looked at us confused and anxious.
I kissed Harry and he wrapped his arms around me.

Zed pov:
"Hey..." I said to Buckey who was sitting a little depressed by a tree.
"What do you want? Freak..."
"Are you okay?"
"I've never had anything in common with a zombie. And certainly not with the sister of my cousin's ex."
"You and Zoey? What do you have in common?"
"Gay."
My mouth fell open in amazement.
"You're gay? Since when?"
"Josh."
I looked from Josh to Buckey.
"No way! You're into him?"
"Laugh at me then! Freak!"
"Woa... Calm down, I don't mean anything wrong with it."
"Sure."
I chuckled briefly.
"Hey Josh!"
Buckey looked at me furiously.
"What are you doing?!" he hissed.
"Hey Zed, hey Buckey." Josh said as he walked ito us.
"Buckey wants to go out with you." I said dryly.
"Zed!!" hissed Buckey with a red head.
Josh looked at Buckey.
"Really?"
"Yes...?"
Josh took his hand.
"I'd like to go out with you."
"Really?!" said Buckey and I at the same time.
Josh nodded.
"Yes!"
Those two ran off.
"Now there were two old couples from earlier that I had to recover. Uma and Wyatt. Wynter and Sean. Though... Then I would have to ruin Eliza's relationship with Wyatt...
"Maybe help with Wynter and Sean first." I muttered.
"What a fun time you choose to play Cupid." said a familiar voice and I turned around.
"Oh hey Willa."
"Uma and Wyatt huh? Not bad."
"Do you think?"
"Yes, I'll make sure Eliza wants to break up with him."
"Wait, why?"
"Because Wyatt falls for Uma and I don't want him to hurt your best friend for his happiness."
"Okay, this is the plan..."

A little later, Willa was talking to Eliza. Now it went well. Keep this up Alfa...
Eliza suddenly walked furiously towards Wyatt and punched him in the face.
Woa... Wyatt even seemed relieved.
Nice and evil Willa. But now I had to play the good friend card and I walked over to Eliza.
"Everything okay?"
"I hate Wyatt."
"What happened?"
"He's just a jerk. And no longer my boyfriend!"
"Are you sure -"
"I don't want to talk about it!"
She walked away angrily.
This was going to cause problems...

That night Mal, Cj and Harry returned.
Uma grabbed her sword and pointed it at Harry.
"So now you bring him here!"
Harry swallowed and Mal pushed Harry backwards.
"Uma, relax. He's himself again."
Uma put her sword away.
"I hope so for you." she said enviously.
Cj went to Zoey and those two seemed to have enough to talk about.

Skye pov:
That night heard screaming and I jumped out of bed.
I heard someone sobbing and followed the sound.
"Cj, is everything okay?" I asked softly as I opened the door.
She sobbed and I sat down next to her.
I put my arm around her.
"It was just a dream..." I sued.
Cj clung to me.
"What's going on?" Harry's voice said.
Cj looked up and let out a scream when she saw him.
"Harry, not meant to be mean. But for now, you better go."
He walked away dazed and I tried to calm Cj down.
"It's okay."
"I was dead... In that dream... He... He..."
"Sssshhh..."
And I felt her cry softly.
"It was just a dream. It was just a dream."
"He had killed me... I was so scared and then Mal... but Harry..."
Tears flowed down her cheeks and I pressed her against me.
"It's okay..."
She cried and clung to me.
"He would never really want to hurt you... Not when he's himself at least..."
"I know that too... But it was so real..."
"It was a dream... It's okay..."
She looked at me and another tear slid down her cheek.
"Come, wipe away your tears and try to get some sleep again... If there is something you can always come. I understand it wasn't easy..."
"Thanks Skye..."
"No problem..."

Back in my room I sighed.
My bracelet that kept me human was damaged and it hurt.
But if I took it off now, I would need blood right away...
I walked out, hoping to find a rat or rabbit.
But no, of course not.
I sighed and suddenly I felt a hand on my shoulder.
Immediately I grabbed that arm and threw that person over my shoulder.
"Ouch..." Zed said as he got up.
"Oh my god... Sorry!"
"It's okay... Is there anything?"
"I will soon become fully vamp. That bracelet is damaged and it hurts me."
"Then take it off."
I looked at him with an oblique eye.
"You know I haven't had blood for three days. If I take that thing off, I immediately lose control."
"You know I'd like to help you?"
"Are you crazy?!"
"Maybe..."

After a while, Zed and I sat next to each other by the lake.
"Thanks again..." I muttered.
"You're my girlfriend, it's okay."
The sun seemed to rise and I got up.
"I'm going to lock myself in my room. See you later."
And in my dark room, I collapsed on my bed. Now I was a full vamp again. Risks everywhere... Yay...
