Chapter One

The sun drooped in from the half covered window, the warm essence of the sun was settling on her bare skin.

"Madam, it's time to wake up." Diane said softly as she lightly shook Rapunzel.

Rapunzel rolled over on her stomach, "five more minute." She groaned.

"It's your coronation today Madam."

Diane walked over and opened the curtains, letting the sun burst through.

"It's a beautiful day Madam."

Rapunzel sleepily opened one eye, revealing a beautiful shade of green. She glanced around the room, noticing a beautiful tan and golden gown. She slowly sat up rubbing her eyes.

"Coronation Day already?" Rapunzel mumbled.

"That's right Madam. Everyone will arrive around noon." Diane announced as she set out Repunzel's undergarments.

"That's all Diane, I can get dressed myself." Rapunzel ordered as she climbed out of bed.

Diane bowed and left the room, shutting the door behind her. Rapunzel stretched and yawned quietly as she took a warm towel and wiped her face gently. After years of waiting she was finally ready to be queen and take on her mother's duties. After her father passed from a terrible illness, her mother was all Rapunzel had. To her knowledge she never had any siblings, so it was just her and her mother.

Rapunzel undressed from her nightwear and slipped on her undergarments, careful not to damage It's fragile material. She thinks back to when she was a child. How much she wanted to walk in her mother's shoes, and today that wish will come true.

Rapunzel slipped into her gown with ease and adjusted the buttons. She admired herself in the mirror before she fixed her long blonde hair. She put her hair into a braided bun and added a small white flower on the side. She sighed and smiled as she admired herself.

"Today," she said, "today is a big day."

Guests started arriving for the ceremony. Rapunzel greeted the guests as they entered, giving them her best smile. As she greated the last guest a large man hushed the guests.

"The Ceremony will begin shortly," he began, "until we escort everyone to the Chappell please make yourselves comfortable."

The talking began again, and Rapunzel went on her way to the Chappell for further preparation. She accidentally ran into a guy, he tumbled backwards but caught himself.

"Woah there my lady, you almost made an accident." He smiled softly as steadied Rapunzel.

"My bad, I was just heading to the Chappell." She stammered.

His hair was as white as freshly fallen snow, and his smile had a warm feeling to it. He was well dressed in a black suit with a white flower in his chest pocket.

"My name's Frost. Jack Frost." He bowed slightly.

She curtsied and smiled, "Rapunzel. Please excuse me."

Jack nodded and moved out of her way, letting Rapunzel pass. She smiled humbly and proceeded.

What a handsome man. She thought to herself as she exited the room.
