He had to do it. He fucking had to. If he didn't, everyone would perish. Tucker glanced at the Two teams. In a moment like this, the Reds and Blues came together despite their differences and "hatred" for one another. The Blue smiled, "I'm sorry guys, but I have to do this.." Before anyone else could speak, Church stepped forward, hands clentched together,
"Tuck, you can't do this, you fucktard. We can figure this out together, as a team. If you do this alone, you'll fucking die!"
Tucker looked down at his feet, a grim look forming on his face. The Flood has infiltrated the bases and pretty much took over. The only chance they had was to find a way into the basement and planting a bomb to detonate the generator, blowing the place sky high. And that's what Tucker was gonna do. He was going to be the hero and destroy the Flood.
Griff looked up at him in an almost accusatory manner, "We're a fucking team! No one gets left behind, no matter whether you're a- a Red or a Blue! We're a family and no one, i repeat, no one is fucking dying. Not on my watch!Caboose nods in agreement, "The yellow man is right. Even though you are annoying and yea.. No one deserves to die, except the Flood. They deserve to die the most. They're too evil."
"Shut up Caboose. I'm doing this anyway. I've already made up my mind, there's no way to stop me now. " Church sighs and steps up to his teammate, putting a hand on his shoulder. "If you really want to do this man, I ain't stopping ya. I'm just gonna really miss you, you idiot."
Tucker smiles a bit, as the group nods at Church's comment; all silently agreeing with one another. "Gonna miss you dumbasses too... Well, I'll see you lot in the next life." He walks towards the door and stops right infront of it. He takes a deep breath and turns back to the group. "Oh and Caboose?"
"Yes?"
"I love you."
"As in Platonically? Or a best friend sorta way? Or in like one of those relationships where people say they love one another and actually don't mean it-"
"No! As in I fucking love you, you fucking retard!" And with that last comment, he turns back around and heads through the door, slamming it shut behind him; never to see his friends again. Caboose just stares until Sarge grabs his arm and leads him out of there with the rest of the group. Once they're a safe enough distance away, Sarge, Simmons, Grif, Church and Caboose take off their helmets to see the base go up in flames with a huge bang.
After a few minutes of silent remorse in the group, Caboose whoops with excitement. "Finally! Tucker's gone and outta my hair! Now I won't have to deal with his annoying self all the time!"
The Reds and Blues just stare at the overly happy blue turns from excited to sad, almost heart-broken. He sniffles a little before speaking, "Tucker you jerk! You don't just do that to someone! This isn't some silly romcom where the lover, boyfriend person confesses and dies and stuff! You're not supposed to do that to someone Tucker.. You can't do that..."
A few tears fall from his face as Church pulls him into a tight embrace,
"Everything's gonna be ok Caboose... We're here for you.."
