Chhaya was leaning on the washbasin staring at the stick in front of her which stared back with two clearly visible red lines.

She released a huge breath as a smile formed on her face. But then it faded away.

She had to get it confirmed first. These tests were not always correct right? She immediately took her bag and started off to the hospital.

The doctor took her blood test and told her that the reports would come on her phone in an hour or so.

She was freaking out inwardly.

'What if Advik wasn't ready? What if she wasn't ready? It had been only 5 months to their marriage. They had never talked about having a baby.'

She dialled Bhavna.

"Mujhe tujhse milna hai. Abhi."

(I want to meet you. Right now.)

"Naa hi na hello. Where are your manners Chhaya."

( No hi no hello.)

"Bhavna i am serious. Please yaar."

"Kya hua? All okay?"

(What happened?)

"Hnn. Tu mil. Milkar bataungi."

(Yes. You meet me. I will tell you.)

"Okay. Mai waise bhi soch rhi thi kahi bahar jaane ka. Dhriti ko bhi saath mai lau toh koi problem toh nhi hai na?"

(Anyway i wad thinking about going out. Will it be a problem if Dhriti comes along?)

"Nhi nhi. Koi problem nahi hai. Bas tu aaja."

(No no. No problem. You just come.)

"Okay."

She disconnected the call and went to mall that Bhavna had messaged her. She was pacing around the entrance waiting for them.

As soon as she saw them she hugged Bhavna and Dhriti too.

"Mujhe kuch important baat krni hai. Jaldi chalo."

(I need to talk about something important. Come fast.)

She held their hands and pulled them inside. They went to the washroom.

"Kya hua? Yaha kyu laai hai?"

(What happened? Why did you bring us here?)

"I think i am pregnant."

She blurted. Bhavna looked at her and then at Dhriti who was looking at her and then they looked back at her.

"What?!"

They said together.

"Yes."

"How do you know? Did you get it confirmed from the doctor?"

"From the past few weeks i have been behaving weird. I mean extreme mood swings, weird cravings, dizziness and i missed my period. So doubt tha. I took a test and it was positive. But then doctor ke paas bhi gyi, she said ki 2 ghante mai reports bhej degi. Aane wali hongi."

(But then i went to the doctor also, she said that i will get reports in 2 hours. They must come anytime.)

She said and just then her phone pinged. She panicked.

"Oh god. Oh god. Its here. Mujhse nhi dekha jaayega. Tu dekh kar bta na."

(I can't do it. Please look at it and tell me.)

She passed on her phone to Bhavna. Bhavna gave the phone to Dhriti and made Chhaya sit on a chair.

"Relax. Take deep breaths. Ab sun. I know its a overwhelming situation, but try and calm down. Sab sahi hoga."

(Now listen. Everything will be fine.)

"I know but i am scared. What if.. what if its negative."

"Well then you know that you want a baby. Jiju se baat kario. Okay."

(Talk to jiju.)

She nodded and Dhriti handed her the phone back. She took a deep breath and opened the reports. She looked at Bhavna with tears in her eyes. Bhavna understood and hugged her. She started crying and hugged her back tightly.

Dhriti looked at them curiously waiting for anyone to say something. When they did not say anything she asked.

"What happened? Mujhe bhi batao i also want to join in."

(Tell me i also want to join in.)

They laughed hearing her. Chhaya wiped her tears and mumbled a 'positive'. Dhriti started squealing and jumping as soon as she heard that. She hugged Chhaya and congratulated her. She was two months pregnant.

They went the baby shops for buying some baby outfits to surprise Advik. They got a 'Hi Dad' onesie and a pair of cute little shoes. They then shopped some more when Chhaya sent Dhriti to get some food and wait for them in the food court.

She then took Bhavna aside and said.

"Kya baat hai? Tera mood off lag rha hai."

(What happened? Your mood seems off.)

"Kuch nhi."

(Nothing.)

"Jooth mat bol. Is it something about Jiju?"

(Don't lie.)

Bhavna sighed and nodded and told her that they just had a small argument. Chhaya asked her if it was anything serious and she shook her head assuring her that everything was fine. They went to the food court where Dhriti was waiting for them.

They had their food and went back home. The next day is Advik's birthday and she had thought to tell him that day.

Advik was not home yet and so she packed the onesie and her pregnancy reports in a box and wrapped it nicely. She smiled thinking about his reaction.

She decided to tell their parents. As expected all of them were jumping and squealing in happiness.

Ananya was already planning how she was going to irritate Advik along with his child and she is going to teach the baby to irritate Advik.

Chhaya told everyone not to mention anything to Advik as of now as she wanted to surprise him on his birthday.

They agreed but Advik's mother started preparing the list of all the foods that she should and should not eat and all the things she should take care of.

It was her first grandchild after all. Advik returned home. Everyone pretended to be normal. He came out after freshening up and frowned seeing everyone smiling.

"Kya hua bhai? Aaj sab bade chahek rhe hai? Kuch hua hai kya?"

(What happened? Everyone is very happy today? Has something happened?)

Chhaya smiled and he looked at her questioning her the same. She shook her head and served him his food. He shrugged his shoulders and concentrated on his food.

He failed to notice how his mother was serving Chhaya in between and asking her to eat properly.
