Chapter 22: "traveling"

I dragged Julia to the basement, when Tasha, Lena and I were moving together, we still wanted to be available in case the Avengers needed us. So I had the idea of "borrowing" a quinjet, so now we have 2 quinjets, we would keep the quinjets in the basement, which is kind of more like an underground version of the Avengers compound in miniature.

- so you just keep a quinjet in your basement? - Julia asked
- not exactly - I answered her
- what do you mean? -
- I do have a quinjet, but I don't have a normal basement - I answered her getting in front of the door to the basement, it had a digital lock, that needed handprint to open

- what you keep in there? An Iron Man suit? - she asked, I looked at her, and smirked a bit
- YOU KEEP AN IRON MAN SUIT IN THERE?! - she asked
- relax, we keep more than one - I said putting my hand on the scanner, the door opened and I started going downstairs

When my sisters and I were building this place, the basement was the last thing we were going to do. We wanted to take a break from fighting, doing this was going to be our little project. We planned on having some kind of headquarters, everything we could ever need in case the Avengers needed us.

It was beautiful, it reminded me a lot to the HQ of S.H.I.E.L.D. I guess that when Lena and I blipped she really missed her family. I remember that when we got to S.H.I.E.L.D. for the first time, it was our family, Fury, Aunty Hill, Uncle Coulson, and Uncle Clint, they were our family, and S.H.I.E.L.D. Was our home.

- come on, the quinjet should be all the way back - I told Julia
- I thought you have never been here - Julia said
- I haven't, but I do know the basics because I discussed it with my sisters - I told her
- why isn't Yelena here? She could be living here -
- probably she feels angry about Tasha's dead, I couldn't even think of this place without remembering that the 3 of us would live here, it's hard -
- question, didn't we came here in a quinjet? -
- yes we did, but Chris leads the house, she's like the boss, so she controles the quinjet, I programmed that on the way to Westview, and she parked the quinjet here -

- genius, I don't know, gifted, I do know -
Julia laughed
- come on, the quinjet is over here -

I guided Julia to the back part of the "basement" and there it was the quinjet
- which one do you want? - I asked Julia
- 'Romanoff's Rock' all the way - she answered
- good choice - I told her laughing

We got in and I programmed the direction to the compound, and checked it was still in stealth mode

- so we are going to use the Time Machine in the compound? - Julia asked
- yes, as long as I'm concerned, no one is in the compound, and this Time Machine will be kind of far from the compound, so no one will see us -

When we got to the Compound, we'll, not really the compound but you get me

- so how does this work? - Julia asked
- first we need the suits, and I may have stole some Pim particles, so we have 10 - I told Julia
- that's great, so how are we gonna do this? -
- that depends on you, do you want to come with me? Or do you want me to come with you? - I asked her
- I would like for you to come with me, do you want me to come with you? - she asked me
- it will be nice for you to be there with me - I told her
- good, who goes first? - she asked
- slow down, first the suits - I told her

I grabbed the suits that was obviously nanotechnology, so I gave Julia everything we should need

- now, who goes first? - I asked her
- rock, paper, scissors? - she asked
- okay, who wins goes first - I told her
- perfect, but you can't read my mind - Julia warned me
- I won't, promise - I said
Julia won, and I promise, I didn't let her win

- I'm nervous- Julia said
- don't worry, I'll be right here with you - I told her
- I'll finally know what happened with my mom -
- and I promise I'll always be here with you -
- I'll program everything, then it will be countdown -

I went to the control panel and did everything, except I was missing the date

- what day are we going? - I asked her
- the day we blipped - she said
- got it -

I programmed everything and went back to the center of the Time Machine

- you ready? - I asked her
- nope, but no way back, right? -
- no way back, you got this -
- I cant believe we are about to do this -
- I can, soon you'll find out what happened to your mom -
