Varyna woke the next morning to see a familiar black furred, green eyed face looming in front of hers. "Brother, you startled me." She said, faking a whimper.
Koray took a few hasty steps back. "I apologize." He whispered, just faintly enough to hear. "It's time for breakfast."
She laughed. 'It's time for breakfast' was a phrase her and Koray had used before. It meant that the speaker wanted to spend the day with the other, and this time Varyna was more than happy to oblige.
"Lead the way, dear brother." Waiting until Koray's back was turned from her, she leapt upon him playfully, wrapping her front paws around his neck. Her back paws swept his from under him, forcing him to collapse under her. "Mine yet again." She breathed in his ear.
Koray relaxed in her embrace. "I'll always be your brother." He tried to get up but to no avail. "You've gotten stronger."
'You have no idea,' she mused. "Where should we go?"
"Breakfast, like I said."
Varyna's face fell. How could Koray, the dearest friend she had, forget all the phrases they made?
He looked at her. "Tell me what bothers you." And so Varyna explained.
He chuckled. "It was a simple test. Of course I'll go somewhere with you," He smiled at her. "Dark Cave is a place I love."
She shivered. "Brother," she began, her voice breaking "Don't take me there. I too have changed."
Koray tilted his head as Varyna added, "Call one of your servants."
He got up to open the door and did as she said. Two servants, a large black one with blood red eyes and scars crisscrossing his face and a small brown one, sat in the middle of the room.
"Now watch." Varyna let her power flow into her, her blue gaze shifting to purple once again. She held the small servant in her ability. "Jump." The servant jumped. "Get me a pillow." The servant got her a pillow. "Now, attack me." The servant attempted to strike, but was too slow for the white wolf.
She sunk her teeth into its belly and then throat, twisting viciously to make yet another mess. "Clean this up." She ordered the larger servant.
Koray looked at her with a wide gaze. "You really have changed." He announced finally, a shadow crossing his face.
"You're better than before." He praised as she leapt upon him again, throwing all her paws around his form, tightening until she could no longer. "Remember, nothing can break a brother's bond to his sister."
