9 months later, cutie pie's mother started ignoring him. No matter how much he begged for food, his mother simply pushed him away. He knew that there was only one thing he could do. He had to leave his mother for good. He slowly started walking away. He lived in an area where the city and the wild met each other. Instead of going out into the more open space of the wilderness, he started walking into the city, because he could smell that there was a decent amount of food there.

Once he made it to the city, he was quite nervous, big moving things that appeared to be alive moving in an unnatural way, tall skinny ape-like creatures that seemed to have some sort of covering on them, and tall, tall structures, which almost seemed like beehives to him, but on a much larger scale. He knew he had to keep calm and stay hidden, because these apes might attack him. Walking into a dark alleyway, he smelled something that caught his attention. He shifted his glance to a grey, furry creature with a long, hairless tail. He was hungry, as he hadn't eaten all day, so he let his instincts control him. He slowly creeped closer, hoping the rodent didn't see him as a threat. The rodent backed up a bit and then... it started running! Cutie pie didn't even think at that time, his instincts told him to run after anything that ran away from him, so he did. He was much faster than the rat, and caught it with ease. He picked up the rat and started running to an empty park, where nobody would see him. He bit into the rat, it's blood slowly seeping down his mouth. It felt so satisfying, so refreshing. he finally was able to survive without anybody to rely on. A few minutes later, he finally finished the rat. He even chewed up it's bones. Satisfied, he fell asleep.
