It's not uncommon for me to go unnoticed. I don't stand out too much. I'm a fairly simple looking girl. I inherited my mothers brown eyes and my fathers chestnut hair. I'm normal height for a female wolf. I am utterly and completely average. Often times if I'm with a group of people they'll talk as if they didn't even know I was there. I dont stand out at all.

It's not that people are doing it on purpose. They aren't trying to exclude me out of rudeness or hate, I'm not picked on, I'm simply the kind of person who likes to keep to myself. I'm usually quiet most of the time and I enjoy it. If you were to ask me if I'd rather stay at home and keep to myself or go out and party with classmates, I would choose to stay at home a good seventy percent of the time.

You could call me shy. That's one way of puting it. But really, I like to think of myself as a 'Silent observer' type. I generally know a lot more about my fellow peers than they do about me. It's actually quite nice being the quiet girl, I know who to avoid and who I can trust.

So when my friends, or rather the people who let me join them during school, forget or ignore me I don't mind too much. Sure there are times I secretly wish someone would say more than a few sentances to me at a time or maybe they would invite me to go on a run with them, but no one does. I don't let small feelings of sadness get me down. Especially when no one would notice my sadness. I was taught by my parents to be kind and forgiving. Its not in my nature to be upset for too long. So I simply swallow any saddness and smile.

I could try to open up more and be social but that ship has sailed. It too late to start making friends at this point in my life. Graduation is a few weeks away and wolves and humans alike will be moving on with their lives. Including myself. Soon enough I'll be moving away from this town and onto the Royal City of Wolves.

Esrosa.

That is where I will be travelling for my apprenticeship in just a few weeks. The city of Esrosa is said to be one of the most ethereal places on earth. Its said to have an old magical feel to it with cobblestone streets and lamps that are lit each night. Elders of my pack say that at night, no matter the time of year, stars shine brighter than anywhere else. That the wind that blows always has a feeling of warmth even in the dead of winter.

It is nestled deep in the woods near Maine and New Brunswick. To be honest no one knows its exact location except a few select few. If you don't know the way or don't have approval to enter the city you'll simply become lost and end up where you started. The reason being that the city is shrouded in a heavy magic to keep it hidden from humans and any who might carry a threat. What better place than the middle of a forest to house the home of werewolf royalty.

The members of the royal family include His Majesty King Alistair and Her Highness Queen Winnifred, their two children, Crown Prince Rowan and Princess Celeste. The King also has a sister, Princess Annette, though she is rarely spoken of after she left the Royal City years ago when her brother was made king.

Its a privilege to be invited into the apprenticeship there. Many werewolves go their whole life never even meeting some whose been to Esrosa let alone see it.

When I told my parents two years ago, at the age of 16, that I wanted to go into the medical field for our kind they were more than supportive. They encouraged me to take online college courses with the help of my teachers and prinicple and get ahead of the game so to speak.

I have had the grades and the ambition, so it hasn't been too hard for me. With my lack of social life and my desire to help others I finally made it through mosy of the online courses at a speedy rate of two years. If I were to go into human medicine I would go into a scolarship program of sorts and get srarted on field training. But since my goal is to become a werewolf healer I need to train with someone of my kind someone who can teach potions and remedies not commonly used by humans.

Luckily for me, my mother's friend Meredith knew of the apprenticeships they have in Esrosa. All manner of apprenticeships; healing, fighting, law....they have it all. A person couldn't get a better education than learning from the Royal Healers themselves, so I applied. I didn't get my hopes up because it's no secret how difficult it is to visit the royal city. Months later though, a knock was heard on our door.

When my father answered, none of us expected to be visited by a member of the Royal Guard. Well more like...Royal Messenger. He explained that each invitation to the Royal City was to be hand delivered, so as to keep the importance of each letter safe. The letter he handed to me was so clean and elegant I almost didn't want to open it and ruin the pretty paper. It stated how I had a great accademic record despite my young age and that I was to become the next apprentice of a one Doctor Anna Glester. Included was an unexpectedly generous plane ticket and further instructions for when I arrive.

So with that exciting news I spent these last few months of highscool completing my college courses and preparing for my apprenticeship. I know this is the right path for me and I can't wait to start my new journey.
